Snarky Brides

Update finally

He said that they mainly look at the belly growth and she is still showing growth, even though it was small. They want to look at her in 2 weeks (growth scan) and see what she looks like then. They aren't worried because everything else looks great as far as NST and BPP's. I guess I can breathe a little right now. The next 2 weeks are going to kill me. He said there was a 10% error rate with u/s so they factor that in. He showed me a chart of her belly that is still "curving up". If there is no shift up with the next scan they are going to make a decision. He is on call this weekend so he will keep checking in on me. Now I can take a nap since I didn't sleep well last night and I have another 2 weeks to bake these 2 a little more.

Re: Update finally

  • *sigh of relief* I've been waiting on this info.  I'm glad you get to keep your legs crossed longer for your girls and that they are very happy with most of the results excepting the discordance.  maybe when you eat you should bop your belly where Savanah is so she pays more attention to you than gobbling up more than her fair share. : )

  • Yeah those sizing ultrasounds are notorious for being off. So just relax and sleep while you can and let them grow grow grow. They estimated Jo at 7 lbs and she was 8 lbs 4 ounces
  • The morning sickness has been kicking my butt lately so it's been hard to eat. I have been forcing myself food down  my throat. I am back on the ensure for the next 2 weeks that's for sure. Give me protein. I *might* actually make it to 36-37 weeks (full term for twins). I will beat goal week of 34!!! (if contractions can stay away)

  • They estimated that Will would be 8 pounds. He was 11 lbs 5 oz. So yeah. Don't put much stock in them.

  • Excellent news!  Hopefully this means you can rest a little easier for the next two weeks.  Did you finally get all the info you wanted from the doc?

  • WOW they were way off with Will! I would love 2 chubby little ladies, fat rolls are the best! Cali, not exactly, but I expect that from this peri. He is very short and to the point. I am hoping I get to see my primary soon. He did make me feel better.

  • I am sure everything will be fine. Get some rest!
  • Good luck, Babbs!I'll ditto that those weight estimates are almost always off, and off by a lot, sometimes.  And it seems they underestimate rather than overestimate.

  • Good news!  Just another data point - they estimated my niece's weight at 8 lbs, and she was 9lbs 12 oz.

  • Right on! Hopefully you can get some sleep.  Glad they encouraged you!  It would be awsome if you could keep those little ones cooking! PS added this on previous message but I figured I would put this on here as well. With my girls I still worry about their weight was why I put the comment on the fact of their size.  I am a big girl and can handle sarcasm so no worries ladies. I live in a world of sarcasm with my daughters being teenagers. Have a great day!
  • That's awesome babbs!
  • Great news Babbs. Since 37 weeks is for reals full term, twin or otherwise, it looks like you might just make it all the way afterall!

  • GOOD NEWS. Glad to hear you get to keep them inside for now Babbs.
  • Great! I predict you will make it to 36 weeks.

  • Fantastic news Babbs! When I was 41w they estimated that Ben was 38w5d in size. When he was born a week later he was 8lbs 8oz so I think they got the measurements really wrong.
