Premarital counseling

so part of my officiants deal is that we are required to take a premarital counseling course in order for him to officiate our wedding. Our officiant is from my home town, and we live in Frisco, so there's no way we could do the course he offers.

Any suggestions for a good counseling course?

There is a class called Nearlywed at Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas.  I think it is $75 per couple.

I did the Nearly Wed Class at Park Cities. My FI and I really enjoyed it. But its early in Sunday mornings and you live in Frisco, so it may not work for your schedule.

[QUOTE]Engaged Encounter through the Diocese of Dallas is $200 a couple and I think they have an option to put you up for an overnight stay?

<div>This is what FI and I are doing - be warned though, they give preference to couples being married in the catholic church, so you may have to book kinda far in advance (according to their website anyway).  They offer 1 weekend a month.</div>

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Premarital counseling : You can call the diocese office and ask what days are available.  The form has a place for you to put your first and second choice. What weekend are you going?  We're requesting March!

<div>I think we're shooting for Feb, since we both have the next day off work - March will prob be our 2nd option though, I know we've got until July, but I really want to get it done sooner than later!</div>

We had our class fold on us because enough couples didn't sign up. My family is being a major pain in the rear and expecting us to take the class from a church (which is fine but is now complicated) where-as my officiate only requires a class in general (so one of the classes from www.twogetherintexas.com would have sufficed). So 22 days from my wedding and we have to find a new class, get in it and have it completed before we get our marriage license. Going to scream!
