Me and my fiance just purchased my wedding ring this past weekend.
For the setting, size of diamond and the color i was looking for, it was going to be over $7,000. We just dont have the money for that, my future sister-in-law proceeded to tell me about this store called dimontrigue that she purchased her wedding band from. It's a jewelery store that works with man made diamonds...I.E not "real". They have the exact same minerals as a real diamond, with the exception of carbon. instead of 1000 years they only take a few weeks to be made.
They only work with 14k gold, white or yellow. and i believe they warranty all their jewelery for life. We took my sister-in-laws ring that she had purchased from here, to several jewelers in the area, none of them can tell the difference. So for those of you brides on a budget in the dallas/lubbock/san antonio area...i purchased a $7,000 ring for $689

they do everything pretty much custom, so ...take a picture of your dream ring...and take it to them for a quote. i was really impressed....and for those of you ladies that arent SO dead set on a diamond out of the ground. I'd suggest here
