It is quite haunting.

I've been walking around this evening humming "River" by Joni Mitchell. I have to travel for a week starting tomorrow, and by the time I get back FI is going to be on a weeklong trip of his own, so I'm basically not going to see him for two weeks. Guess I'm feeling wistful.

I guess I'll be the minority here. It's not that I thought it sucked, but it just didn't strike me for some reason. I kind of attribute it to seeing the video and thinking that the singer just reminded me of Taylor Swift and so the song did too.

I get you, LTZ.  I like to hear a song without seeing visuals.  But this video didn't bother me because I liked the song.

Well then you should be eaten by bears. Just kidding :) Yeah she does kind of look like Taylor Swift, which is disappointing. I like the song because it has more meaning to me than just being a song. And I can see it not being for a person, especially if they don't like country music.

I have kind of a soft spot for Taylor Swift.

But I have a good reason! It's because one time FI told me that silly Love Story song makes him think of me, and even though I think the lyrics and the music video are completely ridiculous, it still makes my heart melt that he has mushy thoughts sometimes.

Aww, that's cute Sarah. Before FI and I were engaged we separated for a couple of months. When he came crawling back (of course) with his bouquet of flowers he admitted that he listened to "Nothing Compares to You" by Sinead O'Connor and got really upset and thought of me.

I like that song, but knowing about that little tidbit makes it all the more special, haha.

 I tried to tell my friend about this picture today, but she just didn't get it.  And it made me sad.

On the upside, I asked the math dept. chair what a real live bear would prefer, dear meat or a snuggie.  And he said snuggie, naturally.

I had never heard this song before either. I rarely listen to the radio anymore so I never hear new songs right away. It's a plus that I don't get sick of songs as easily.

Yeah I can see where you got that now that you mention it. I think it's because it's a country song, that I immediately thought of Swift.

I have to admit, I'm not a big fan of country music (other than the old standbys like "I Love This Bar", "Friends in Low Places" and some old Patsy Cline). So I've never heard this on the radio.

I like it too. It did weird me out the first time I saw it, a little anyway. A 20 year old being shown with 2 kids was a little strange. It is a cute storyline though.

Friends in Low Places has a special place in my heart because of one night many years ago, FI and I drove around blasting that in his truck. He doesn't remember, but it was fun.
