Where are you all?!

Re: Where are you all?!

  • Quick! If glass breaks (like in a door) is it better to leave it and cover the broken spot, or finish breaking the window?

  • Kd - whenever I get a job.. or hopefully May whether I've got one or not.. we'll see.  I interviewed for one on Monday.  They flew me out and everything.  I got an email this morning that they are very interested in my skillset, but they still have one candidate that was already scheduled to come in and they'd be in touch shortly.. so we'll see.
  • For those of you trying to paint - this is pretty cool.  You can upload photos of rooms in your house and "try" the paint colors.

That's brilliant.  I'm playing now.  Thanks!

  • Sewf - my first thought was to tape up the window as much as you can so it doesn't shatter all over the place, then finish breaking it before covering the hole.
  • I was not impressed with Sherwin Williams paint at all.. The stuff I used ran all over the place and didn't cover worth a darn.  Knowing my friend though, she probably bought the cheapest line of paint they make, and if you go with a more premium line it may be great.
  • Im watching the news and they are reporting on an event that people threw in memory of a woman who was murdered last year - it was a dance event and they showed the crowd and it was like 5 adults and a bunch of kids (presumeably their own). I sorta wonder why thats even news, it just looks sorta... sad. No one was even there. Just seems embarassing to me.

<div>Isn't it?? My mom played with it when deciding on paint colors.  It's a little annoying if you have wall space that is chopped up into pieces by big windows or whatever since you have to do each "piece" seperately, but I still think it's pretty cool. </div><div>
</div><div>ETA: I mean just select each part of the wall  in the picture to add color to separately, not take pictures of each piece.  You can do the whole room on one picture, or however much of the room you can get into one picture anyway. </div>

    Well good luck!

H's office we just finished has grass cloth on the walls in a green/tan, so I just got a shade of green and shade of tan. H thinks I only got the tan because its name Koala bear.

<div>Really? My parents just used it and it looks fabulous.  They used it in their old house too with excellent results. </div>

  • This was probably 4 or 5 years ago when I helped my friends paint their house (interior).
  • I've only used SW paint once, and it sucked.

Behr has a visualizer thing like that on their website too, btw. We used their all-in-one stuff for the room. It was a grey and really flat, and it still looked awesome with only one coat.  That's pretty impressive.
  • I'm in indy at the Super Bowl bitches! Gettin crunk with my mom. It's so awesome!

  • Steph - We used Behr too.  We just used their all in one paint when we redid our office and the blue/grey covered a hunter green fabulously.  Only one coat was needed.

    Thank you, Loopy!

We have a galley kitchen, so it's long and narrow. At the end of the kitchen is a door leading out to a small porch. The door has (had) a window in it. H fancies himself a ninja, and decided it would be a good idea to kick a coke bottle through the kitchen. The window is no more. Oh well, the door is ugly anyway, and now we can get a new one.

I knew it would happen eventually, whether it was H or any future children.

ETA: An EMPTY bottle. Sorry, should have added that.

  • Hey guys!
I just got back from working out.  I have the evening to myself tonight because FI is hanging out with one of his GMs tonight.  I'm trying to decide what movie to watch.  Any suggestions?

And I second the Dexter suggestion.  It's awesome.

[QUOTE]Teagan hated tummy time, too.  We moved her into an exersaucer when she was about 4/5 months, and allowed her to develop her back and neck muscles that way, for the most part.  Now, we're trying to "bribe" her to crawl, but there is no toy in the world that she cares to actually work to get.  She's perfectly happy playing with anything that she's sitting next to.  A couple days ago, I accidently dropped some baby puffs on the ground out of her reach, and goddamned if she didn't start kicking her legs to try to get them.  She reaaaallly likes to eat.

  • Silly H.  That sounds like when my (at the time) 9 year old brother threw a rock aiming for the roof and hit the skylight.  He was NOT happy when the cost of a new skylight came out of his allowance for weeks.
  • Chels - I think I'm going to put "Cast Away" in shortly.  I need to get off the couch to feed the dog anyway LOL.  And if my bananas are thawed, I'm going to make banana muffins quick too.
  • I guess I'm not watching Cast Away tonight.  The disk is cracked in two.  Nice.

  • You have to watch it, atleast once. Its mandatory.
  • I added it to the Netflix queue.

You should also be happy to learn that I just purchased the first season of Boardwalk Empire. It's technically for FH for our anniversary, but I have been wanting to watch it for ages.
