Bitches Runnin' Wild

Is anyone else watching Bridezilla's right now? I know we've talked about Bridezillas before (both the show and IRL) but I feel like I'm shocked into a whole new level of craziness each time.

One of the girls on the show right now was at her bridal shower. Everyone was having a good time, eating the food and drinking some wine (it's at a winery) and the bride proceeds to go around and monitor what her BM's are eating. She threatened them that later on she was going to be making "cuts" and making sure that they weigh a certain amount, otherwise they're out of the BP. She calls one BM chubby right to her face and then to the camera explains that she rather have no BM's than "big ones".

WTF?!

I don't understand how people like this have friends, let alone a man who wants to spend the rest of his life with such a witch. I don't think it's such a stretch to assume that people like this are a big compnent of the 50% divorce rate.

Thoughts?

I'm watching the end of the Saints game right this second (we taped it) but I've seen that episode before. It amazes me how they make people act to be on that show.

I'm not watching right now, cuz I'm at work. However, I'm not shocked that someone would do that.

My grandfather introduced my (6 mo-pregnant) aunt to some friends of his, and said "Oh, don't worry, she's not fat, she's just pregnant." This is also the man who won't allow me to eat bread or cheese when I'm over there, because I'm overweight.

The extent of people's stupidity doesn't surprise me anymore.

Less-- this show is staged. I know a friend of a friend who was on it and they compensated her for parts of her wedding and told her when to act bitchy during the course of shooting the show.

Not sure why she would want to go on there and make an ass of herself, but I guess to her the money was worth it.

I hope the Bridezillas clear it with the friends/family ahead of time.  I'd be pissed if my friend called me fat on TV with no advance warning.  And she'd better take me to a nice dinner after!

Almost all reality shows are staged, especially Bridezillas.  I don't see how friends, families & FI's put up with that BS, even though it's fake.  I know a distand friends who was on wife swap.  They have three children in real life, but the producers didn't like it, so for the show, they only had 2 kids.  The 3rd wasn't allowed around much at all, during filming. 

It's crazy what people will do for money.  I prefer playing mcdonalds monopoly & praying for boardwalk everytime I peel a sticker.  :-)

Sorry this was an unintended post and run, but for those saying or thinking the show is staged - I don't disbelieve it, but then these girls are some damn good actresses. Maybe it's just me, but I could never keep a straight face while berating everyone I know and love. I don't know how they do it.

Ohh, I thought it was that part in Knocked Up where they try to get into the club and get turned away.  The guy is like, "You're pregnant, you're old.  We can't have a bunch of old pregnant bitches running around."   Hehe, I love both of those movies.

If they really wanted to increase ratings they would have these Bridezillas' family and friends talk back to them.  I get so tired of these brides getting away with being such biitches.

I agree though, I'd really love to see the look on these crazy hoars' faces when their MOH says hell no she's not wearing shoulder pads and purple weave for the ceremony!
