Snarky Brides

WTF....Tudors...

So DH has decided that we should start watching this show. HOLY EFFING GORE! The first episode I watch is full of executions...really really really gross executions. I like the show, but I just nearly puked in my mouth.

Re: WTF....Tudors...

  • DH just made a joke: "yeah, you can borrow the DVDs from her when you finally meet"...hardy har har dear.

I think he would love it if we watched the other seasons so we might just have to do that. I just read most of the story about him on wikipedia (I can't watch something mid-season with no background) and it seems like it would be good.

Plus who doesn't love boobs and bush?
  • I love that time period, I loooooove the elizebethan era the best though (has he seen Elizabeth and The golden age)? As much as I couldnt stand the chick who played Anne Boleyn in the tudors at first, she grew on me and I really missed her once she died.
  • Oh yes, he has seen the Queen Elizabeth movies, although he tends to like early and mid-medieval times best.

I majored in Modern history so I know very little about pre-modern history in general. But he explains most of the stuff I don't get. But yes, we watch a lot of 'historical fiction' movies.
  • I have a sweet spot for historical movies, I find it romantic for some reason. I think you will really like it, we just rented it from blockbuster.
  • I adore this series! I haven't seen the most recent season, though, yet... but, like, I know what happens, lol.

  • The duke of Suffolk was my favourite, damn he is a hottie, especially as he got "older". I think my husband looks a little like him.
  • DH's latest comment: I love the dresses from that time.

Sigh, he really likes boobs. If he could have had his way my wedding dress would have had a top like those. But of course, none of them had double d's. So he got the corset but not the shelved boobs.

Charles Brandon? Oh yeah. The actor, Henry Cavill, was one of Stephenie Meyer's original choices to play Edward Cullen.

  • I would have liked him better for Edward.
  • The Tutors is a great show.  Stick with it but there are some gorey parts throughout.

  • I love that show, but I've only made it to the end of the 2nd season. I started watching it one day and couldn't stop. I think I finished it all in about 2 weeks. I've been waiting to get the rest of the DVDs from Netflix, but DH lost the last DVD we have from them so I'm kind of stuck at the moment...

  • I made it almost all the way through the 3rd season before OnDemand got rid of it. I really want to finish it. His mouth is sexy.
