My venue charges $1000 to rent the dance floor. They said it is so expensive b/c it is expernsive to have it picked up after 11pm. It has to be picked up that night. That was my biggest sticker shock so far. Does anyone know where I could get a dance floor for about 60 people for maybe 1/3 or 1/2 of the price including delivery, set-up, and pick up?

Geez!  That's seems pricey!  What is your venue, out of curiosity?  We have a $275 dance floor fee.  I was told that's it's because of the labor intensive set-up.  But they have one they use on property, so there's no delivery.

What does the floor of your venue look like?  If it's a hard surface, you may not need a dance floor.  A couple of the venues I looked at said some girls designate a "dance floor" space but didn't pay for an actual dance floor.  Just a thought.  GL, though.

Our venue is the Modern Art Muesum of fort worth. The area we are having the actual reception has carpet so we have to have a dance floor. They do not own one and rent it out. The problem is they are only approved to rent through certain vendors, which of course are super expensive. So we were given the option to find our own vendor.
