I've worked my fingers to the bone all morning and most of last night and now that I'm free, it's all quiet.

Im trying to hurry up and get ready so I can drive down to San Diego for the weekend but TK keeps getting in my way! I hate LA traffic and I have a feeling it is not going to be pretty today....ugh

Hey Heels.  How's it going?

I was drawn into all the debate threads yesterday and spent far too much time knotting and not enough time working.  I'm trying to make up for it today.  It's a half day for us since we're going F1 racing this afternoon.  (I don't actually know what that is, but apparently it involves company sactioned drinking and driving on an indoor racetrack?)

It's Jersey Shore day at the office.  All the other girls are trashtastic!  I kind of feel bad I didn't play along; they seem to be having a lot of fun, and here I am in jean capris and a polo shirt.

I'm here for a bit. Work is requiring me to actually WORK around 2pm, so I'll be around until then. I don't get a long weekend like most others around these parts, so I'm a little bitter about the whole work thing.

Ang, I love homemade wine   My mom made some great strawberry wine one year...then the next year she made some that turned to vinegar (still great on a salad)

Celles, what kind of place do you work? Sounds like fun. 

I'm intermittently here, and trying to get stuff done.  We're about to book our honeymoon and I'm almost too excited about it.

Wait, Celles, your office has a Jersey Shore day?? That is hilarious. I would kill to see that at my work.

Side story: Last night I was out at this preppy sailing bar even I thought was stuffy and I was in a corner trying to talk on my phone. Some 50 yo guy walks up to me wasted and goes, "who the fuuck brought the Jersey Shore to this bar?" I give him a WTF look but then I notice he is not kidding that 5 or 6 guys has just rolled in stinking of cologne and looking straight off the Jersey Shore set. It was 1) hilarious that they chose to come to a place clearly not their scene and 2) that some rando guy felt the need to tell me about it.

I hate it when I sleep past breakfast serving time.  It reminds me of college freshman year and sleeping until 1 and realizing the caf's closed.

I'm just now getting here. I went to a garage sale at a local rental company this morning.  Tablecloths and overlays were $5-$10, vases were $1-$3, all different sizes, and we even found an inflatable palm tree with a monkey hanging in it for $10. 

I ended up getting all of my linens and glass needs met for $250 (15 tables worth). The tablecloths don't all match, but I got lucky and found 10 matching overlays, so that should tie it all together. The monkey was a splurge and may or may not end up as a surprise for my friend's 3yo at her birthday party on Sunday. The kid loves monkeys. And hey, you never know when you might be able to use an inflatable monkey.

Now I need to do my dishes and catch up on TK from this morning.

My grandma has homemade wine in her basement that she made in the 80s or early 90s.  She refused to let us throw it out.  It is probably mold in a bottle.

Hawaii.  Neither of us has ever been there.  I think I'm mostly just excited about a vacation at all, I've only been at my job for a year, and we "earn" vacation time.  Some things have come up that made me unexpectedly use some of it, so I've been hording the rest of it away to use for the honeymoon.

Having never seen an episode of the Jersey Shore, though, I feel a little out of it today.

Sorry, Heelsy, I've got to get some stuff done today for work.  I've been slogging through this freakin' spreadsheet that I have to track down data for from about a million places and it simply must be finished already because I don't want to have to look at it again on Monday.

Any fun plans for the weekend?  We're helping some friends move on Sunday.  Of course, they're moving on the hottest day of the summer so far.

Hawaii will be fun.  My coworker took his wife there for their honeymoon.  They loved it.

I'm too lazy for Hawaii.  I knew if we went I would want to do cool stuff like hike volcanoes andshit but all wanted to do for our honeymoon was lay on the beach.

Hey Julez! Moving in the summer is a pain.  I think almost every time I've moved has been in the summer.  Yuck.

I think we're just going to a baseball game this weekend and otherwise taking it easy.  My boss gave me free tickets.
