Kitchen beauty regimen

I thought this was an interesting article/picture set. I might have to try some of these:

Maybe I can get rid of some olive oil that came in a plastic container and is therefore non edible because it tastes like plastic.

  • Nice.  I already use honey on my face several times a week and it's really helped my acne.
  • jule- do you just slather honey on your face or is it mixed with other stuff? I have mild acne and some scarring so Im eager to learn home remedies! :)

  • Very interesting. I just bookmarked this.  : )
  • I might have to try that, Julez. My dad uses olive oil on the ends of his hair, and I thought he was just being weird, but I guess it works.

  • Sorry guys but there is absolutely no way I'm putting any type of oil on my face. I go out of my way to find oil-free facewashes so slathering olive oil or crisco on my face seems kind of counterproductive!

I would definitely try using sugar as an exfoliant though,  but I'd have to force myself not to lick it off!

  • The sugar really works well; I've tried that one. And Olive Oil works wonders for dry hair and skin. I have an eczema type issue on the backs of my arms and I've tried everything for it. The only two things that have worked so far are Bio-oil and olive oil. I'm not so sure about the crisco though. That seemed kinda weird. The lemon juice & apple cider vinegar both work well in blonde hair too as a clarifier.
