Re: Random Poll

  • I do appreciate that you're willing to reconsider how forward you are with details about life, but for someone who's fabulous yet bitchy, you're coming across (to me, anyway) as someone who can't handle criticism and takes things personally.

I guess I'll just have to reiterate again, that my blog is outdated. Also I WAS fabulous and bitchy when I was pregnant <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-wink.gif" border="0" alt="Wink" title="Wink" />.

I think I can handle criticism when it's fair and non attacking. When a bunch of women start flaming me than it becomes a little personal. I can't remember who it was but someone summed up what everyone else said in a completely non rude way.

  • Nobody said don't ever come back or anything. Don't make it a bigger deal than it really is.

The things on your blogs have been discussed a few times in the last couple of days and I think that your boldness was really more than what we're used to, or care to be used to.

The way things work is usually something happens early on in your posting that you get flamed for, and then from there you make the choice to take it like a champ, or to be a baby about it. You're kind of floating in between, IMO. The key is to learn from it and recover.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Random Poll : I guess IMO people will do what they want at their weddings and like I said yesterday, my gap is going to be an hour long while my guests have cocktails. I also have a friend on here who was flamed for wanting to wear a light pinnk wedding dress. To each their own.

Well, first of all, I was kind of kidding with that comment. And second, an hour gap with cocktails doesn't really seem like a gap to me. I'd call that a cocktail hour, yes? I don't know why anyone would flame you for that. I would, however, flame someone who really did "do what they wanted" at their wedding with no regard for etiquette. A pink wedding dress does not breach etiquette. Are you sure it was on this board?

I get the feeling Tink might be a bit of an exaggerator.

And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now. Because trust me when I tell you honey, they're gonna need it. ~jcaruncho2010

  • I'm starting to lean that way too, betrothed. People who talk in extremes tend to be exaggerators.

  • Yup.  I've honestly never seen anyone get flamed for wanting to wear a pink dress on these boards.  However, I did see some general laughter at a pepto pink dress that someone had to wear as MOH (it was a Wizard of Oz Themed wedding and she was Glinda).

I know, it's super hard for some people to keep up.  I'm used to it.
