Tell me about you

Do you have any degrees?
What do you do for work? (vague answers are fine, internet safety comes first!)

I have my BS in Anthropology with a concentration in Archaeology. During college and directly after I worked as a professional archaeolgist at over 30 sites including Mount Vernon (Washington's home) and Montpelier (Madison's home).

I now work as tech support for a high school and am trying to get a job as a guidance secretary.

Re: Tell me about you

  • I have my BS in Economics (good timing, huh?) and a minor in German and Statistics.

I now work at a large University doing basically customer service both with students and potential visitors.
  • I only went to college so I have no real designation or degree. just a diploma.

Im the production manager/office admin for a promotional company.
  • I will be getting my BA in English and BA in Psychology next spring! :D
H and I are both the first in our families to go to college, and I'm really excited.

I do behavior therapy and in-school support for kids with autism.

  • I have a business degree. I'm a HR Business Partner.
  • I have a Mus.B in vocal performance and music education, and I have my MA in music education with a concentration in musical theatre.

I currently teach middle school chorus and do the school's musical production (we are a two-person staff for that...yikes!), and teach private voice lessons.

You made my wedding day complete.
  • I'll have my BS in Psychology and minor in Child and Family Development next spring. Right now, I do in home adult parties.

I have: BS in Accounting and Finance, MS in Accounting.

I'm a financial auditor.  I'm working towards CPA certification.

Lately I've been thinking a lot about teaching, I think I might want to teach at a community college level at some point.  I don't know yet though.
  • I have a BS in Social Work.   I will be teaching preschool(again) when I get back to NJ.
  • I have a BS in Biology and MS in Microbiology.  I'm pursuing my Ph.D. in Microbiology (hopefully only 1.5 years left!).  I also teach as an Adjunct at a nearby University.

I hope to teach at the undergraduate level.

  • I'll be getting a degree in museum studies, graduating next winter.  I work at a small business here that makes a thing for cars (too easy to internet stalk!)

<div>I thought about doing this, and then I remembered that I hate talking to people and I would get lost getting to people's homes.  Sounds fun though!</div>

It is really fun. I was nervous the first few times, but I really enjoy it and make decent money.

    What's museum studies?
  • I don't have any degrees. I'm in school to become a teacher though, and I'm thinking of getting my AA in Office Admin. because I will most likely make more money sooner, as an Admin. Assistant, than I will being a preschool teacher. I will wait for my BA/Masters to actually start teaching.
  • I have a BS in Finance.  I am a production supervisor.
  • I have a BA in Elementary Education and am working on my Master's in Early Childhood Education.  I just stopped working at a daycare so I could be available to substitute but I'm starting to think that they'll never call me!

  • Whats the difference between a BA and BS?
  • My undergrad was in history and social work, went on to paralegal and finally became an attorney - a big old roundabout!

I would eventually like to split my time between law and another pursuit, but given the economy that may be a few years off. Also having made full partner, I have the firm and its well being to think about.

<div>Bachelor of Arts/Science.  I think it's just a matter of the degree.  Like most mathy- majors are BS (engineering, math, econ, etc) and other degrees are BA (English, history, etc.) I think there's also Bachelors specific to other stuff like arts (BFA?) and business maybe?</div><div>
</div><div>I could have gotten either a BA or BS in Economics, but that's unusual.  The BS one required 4 semesters of calc and two semesters of statistics, the BA required a semester of calc.  The BS was more based on equations, while the BA was more based on how people think, if that makes sense.</div><div>
</div><div>Basically, the only difference is the title.</div>
  • I'm in school for Elementary Education.

Right now I sell cupcakes until FI and I move. Then, I'm not really sure what I'll do.

BA -Bachelors of Arts, BS Bachelors of Science. BA is more based on liberal arts, and BS is more science/math.
Some majors offer both, and the difference is usually research, lab work related.

  • I have a B.S in Chemical Biology and a M.A. is Science Education.

    I teach high school chemistry.

  • Do you have any degrees?  BBA in Accounting.  MBA, emphasis in Accounting.  CPA in 2 states.  Not as boring as it sounds.
What do you do for work? I work for a large, publicly traded utility.  We are regulated very heavily by the federal government and the states in which we do business.  I work primarily on regulatory accounting area and SEC reporting.  I used to do tax work for a public firm, and accounting for income taxes in industry.

  • Dang.  Apparently I have the only Associate's degree on TK.  It's in nursing and I work as an OR RN at that light blue university.  No, I'm not a fan.

I'm currently working on the pre- reqs for a RN-BSN at ECU.  I'm in stats (yuck) this semester, and have two semesters of chemistry before I switch over.  My goal is to finish before my grandson.  How old is he?  Almost six months...

  • I'm working on my HBA for Political Science with two minors - History (mainly war related stuff) and English literature. I don't work during the school year, the city I live in is really mean to students in regards to giving them jobs. It blows. I do "work" through the school as an ambassador. I help new and prospective students as well as current students. For the amount of work we do, we deserve to get paid but we don't. It's fun though.

If my understanding is correct, I believe that Nebb's college is equivalent to America's Community College. In Canada College is 2 years and University is 4.

  • I have a bachelor's degree in Communications. I worked in the publishing field (legal publishing) for 4 years until the larger company I worked for decided to close our office and we all lost our jobs (insert sad face here). Now I'm trying to get a certificate in paralegal studies because I did enjoy working in the legal field. And I work part time at a large retail chain in the meanwhile
