I know it's early as hell (for me anyway) but I had a rough night at work and can't sleep. Anybody up?

I feel weird starting the good morning thread, what time does everyone usually get up and go to work around here?

Hi there! I'm here. Drinking my coffee before Ben wakes up. I'm going into work a little late today because Ben is out of school today and I'm taking him to my mom's.

Morning. I'm usually at work by 6, Usually it's great but today some guy came in early and has been banging on his desk like a drum. I might kick him in the shins.

Also, my mom just sent me a text that said, "Would you rather snore the sound of a dial-up modem or fart the sound of a cuckoo clock?" Someone has had her morning glass of Coke a little too early.

For the record, I chose snore.

I am drinking coffee too even though I shouldn't (I work night shift and sleep mornings). My night was craptastic because of my lazy, young coworkers. They like to conveniently leave their left over jobs for me every night. We hired these teen ex-drug addicts, and they are sweet as hell (in a 'I totally burned out every brain cell' kinda way), but I'm starting to wonder if they are actually capable of the work we do.

I am just getting up, I am usually at work by now. But tonight is parent/teacher interviews so I figured I could go in later since I will be at work til past 8...a full day's work then 15 interviews...yay!

This is pretty much all my knotting for today ladies...have a great one!

That sucks. There is nothing more frustrating than having to pick up the slack for asshole coworkers. I don't work with any ex drug addicts (that I know of), but they still slack off so that I have to come in and clean up their messes.

The worst part is, I have to manage the teens. I'm pretty good at managing people, but these teens have never had a job before and have this notion they don't have to work. I'm constantly 'the bad guy' for bringing them back to reality. 

At least it's funny to see their face when I give them a particularly dirty job. "Wha..? ME?"

I am cold as hell. It is just freaking freezing in the house. I jacked the heat up and have my space heater on and I still feel like I might die from cold. I just want to go back to bed. I dont want to do anything else but that.

I work at a sports/concert arena and set up events, I'm kinda a fill-in during the actual event (serving/managing/running around with my head chopped off), but otherwise I set up and breakdown the private suite level. 

H works in the basement as a chef. He is higher up, I'm just a minion compared to him, lol. No, in actuality, we don't really see each other since I'm on the 4th floor.

I think if you change your zip code under "my account" it will change to somewhere else, I don't think you can remove your location entirely. 


Number, IDK if you'll see this before work but YGPM. 

I'm working today even though it's Veterans day and technically it's a vacation day.  Yay (please read that as a sarcastic yay)

Reddy- that sounds like it could be fun at least!

Morning ladies. Today will be my first day back at work.... and I really just want to stay here, on my ass, wrapped in a blanket all day. I think my body realized the wedding's over, so my immune system gave up. I'm a big stuffy, coughing mess.  But at least it waited until now!  I should get going actually, so I can stop at CVS on the way into work for some drugs.

P.S. Cew- does Ben have off for Veterans Day? We never did, and I still don't have off from work (I work at a University.) I think Minnesota is anti-American.

Scroll about halfway down the page to find "Wedding location."
In the drop down menu select "Choose location."

Well hm. I changed my addy to a resort in Jamaica, logged out, logged in again and it still says Portland! I guess SN's like nebb's and number's are a thing of the past?!

There must be another way...

Change your wedding location to something else instead of your address.  Maybe that'll do the trick.

I'm watching the Today Show and they just had the Army Brass Quintet on.  God it makes me miss playing so bad =(.  It's hard going from playing every day to hardly at all.  I need to look into local orchestras or something for fun.

Nebb- I'm so sorry you are cold. I hate being cold. 

I just got back from bootcamp and made breakfast and I'll be off to work soon. We don't have veterans day off either, but the mail and bank don't work today, so it makes my workload a bit easier. I've got tons of work to do and not a whole lot of time to do it before the wedding. I'm getting freaking stressed, which is not good because we are TTC and that waiting game is stressful enough. Add to that the time change and not having any caffeine or sugar and you get me, going to bed at 8;30pm all this week and waking up fatigued. Some of that fatigue has to do with bootcamp, but not all of it. 

Anyway, enough about me. I hope y'all have a wonderful Thursday. And Reddy, quit with the coffee and get some sleep so you can keep up with the teenagers tonight!

Good Morning ladies!

I havent been around much, my evenings have been the dentist (2 nights in a row), and taking care of a sick husband. And work is really hectic. We have a big event in a next Saturday, and the Christmas season is extra nuts.

Sorry you had a sucky night Reddy. Third shift is hard enough without it bein sucktastic.

Good Morning, Ladies.  Mid 30's today, so it looks like we're finally getting some fall/winter weather.

DH has a 4-day weekend, and my daughters don't have school today.  I'm at work, but I'm the veteran.  Something is wrong with that.

Wicked was so good, raynes - enjoy.  I want to see it again.
