Snarky Brides

:Kim:

Ok...Yea, Dawn was a source of some problems. Allison (the bride) said that it would always takeher forever to respond to emails.
This weekend we couldn't rehearse at ceremony site because they were having a fashion show (okay, but I mean...the ceremony is expensive it would've been ice if they could've figured something out). The day of the wedding she was houuuurs late because they had a huge halloween party going then she was just kind of not there.
A said she had some other problems they will address. The biggest problem I noticed was the servers cleared the tables waaaay too fast at dinner, like before people were even done eating and took several peoples full (expensive) drinks so they ended up having to re order.

The brides bouquet also went missing (no one at the wedding took it either, it was small and no one would've) we think the servers whisked it away.

The halibut was mushy for some people (luckily not mine).

Re: :Kim:

  • Ugh.  The taking forever to respond to anything part is what is really frustrating me about her.  It has taken us nearly FOUR WEEKS of calls and emails to set up an appointment to go over set up for the reception (so we can let our florist know and start reserving rentals).  She finally responded last week that we can set something up starting the 2nd, and then she replied to our email with times we are free that she is "very busy" and we are just going to have to wait until the 19th to set something up, too bad so sad.  Umm, no.  You said the 2nd.

So now we are meeting on Wednesday, with just her, no caterer (we were also going to do the tasting then.)  She could really stand to proof read her emails to us before she sends them because she has been nothing but condescending and bitchy without offering much help.

Seriously, I am so mad they have our money.  If she doesn't stop sucking major ass I am going down there and speaking to whomever I can about working with someone else.

Hopefully we don't have the same problems with food since we are doing cocktail style with stations.  But I have no qualms being a shitty tipper.

    KIM SMASH.
  • Yea, sounds like some of the same issues. She was just very absent it seems. Allison said her and her H are going back to have a meeting with Dawns boss about the issues they had.
I think they had a problem meeting with the caterer the first time too.
Definitely have everyone watch their glasses. I had T run down and get me a coke (that wasn't $5) and I set it down after drinking a little less than half and by the time I went back to it 10 minutes later it was gone. Same thing with WINE (it's not like you could think thats watered down and needs to be taken away) and scotch.
  • Ooh, I hope Allison follows through with that!  Maybe that will put the fear of god in her.  Or at least the fear of my foot in her ass.
  • They're definitely following through, no worried there :)
Lady needs some fear. Being houuuurs late on the day of is not really ok.
  • Yeah, I'm not giving them a shitton of money for her to show me her lack of time management skills.  That's not how I roll.

(can you tell I've had enough? hahaha)
  • I can! I like it!
Are you doing the ceremony there? Are you doing it in a circle?
  • We haven't decided if we are doing a circle or more traditional seating but we are doing it in the courtyard.  I would like to avoid using microphones if possible and it seems like the circle would get everybody a little bit closer to us.
  • Yea, the circle definitely keeps everyone close buuut the mic absolutely helped. She end up with 55 guests which made 2 rows in the circle.
