Oooh I want to play too! What do you normally read? What about some old skool A Clockwork Orange or One flew over the coo-coos nest  or Wuthering Heights or Brave New World?

Edit- Yawl??? Thanks Autocorrect for that one...

If I may suggest, stuff by Palahniuk, Robbins, and Vonnegut are usually pretty interesting.  And Eugenides, he's awesome.

  • i agree with MandK about Palahniuk books. if you want something completely opposite and a long read, outlander by diana gabaldon has always been a favorite of mine. it is actually a series, but outlander is the first book.

absolutely..but i feel like all of her books have a few chapters where it stalls out. it is definitely worth continuing..there is such a long story line!

EDIT: (added) if i remember correctly i stalled out in the second book and then flew through the third and fourth and am currently on the fifth where i have stalled out again. it's not that the books aren't good, because they are amazing, i think for me it was just hard to read about the battles. there are so many twists and turns and new characters added i highly recommend pushing through!

  • I stopped at the last outlander book, I still can't push through it. Sounds like a lot have already read it?
