QUIT flaunting your babyness in our faces!!>>!!>

    Just kidding.

Emmalynn is totally adorable (is it weird that i think she has wise eyes?)
     and
Taryn is even more cute with the headbutting/biting development.  She has an impish smile so I like to think she's delighting in her newfound talents  :)
  • Thank you!  I can't believe I'm already in 2nd tri.  Babies are going to be here before we know it (and probably before we're ready.)  I feel great.  Babies have been really easy on me, thus far.  I found out last night, via a cryptic FB message, that my stepsister lost her baby yesterday.  She was due 2 months before me, so it's kind of hard to relax about being out of the 1st tri period, with a "high risk" pregnancy.  I have my next sono on Wed, so hopefully everything will be well.

Holy Crap. We survived the first year!

  • Also, I love Emma's new pic.  She's beautiful!

Anna - she is SUCH an imp right now, and she knows it.

  • Tide- A little story about what is to come, from my friend with a 3yo and a 10mo:

10mo is just barely learning to walk, like 2 or 3 steps and then hits the floor. One day last week, she toddled over next to the vacuum cleaner and fell, grazing her cheek on it. She was bawling. Mom had her hands full, so she tells 3yo "Go tell her it will be ok". 3yo runs over to the vacuum, picks it up and bear hugs it, saying "I'm sorry gacuum, it will be ok". Then turns to her little sister, shakes her finger at her and says "That was NOT nice" and walks away.

When you say that Taryn is impish, this is what I envision.

HA!  That's awesome.  And, I can totally see Taryn doing that.

DH has been trying to work out an agreement with the dog over the last couple of days.  He figures he's going to need help wrangling 3 mobile babies on his own, so he's trying to teach Smokey to herd.

  • I think Smokey could really be an asset. He could guard open bathrooms and such. If you could teach him how to close the door, that would be even better! This comes after another story of the 3yo not flushing and the 10mo finding her way into the bathroom, only to be found eating wet toilet paper. Gross! My friend wants an automatic door shutter now.

  • I love that story, Sarah.

I agree on Emma's new pic--too cute for words.

I am going ot be an aunt again pretty soon!  BFF went into labor (after dress shopping with me--I guess the baby couldn't take all of the excitement :P) and is just waiting it out.
  • Oh wow, Nates. Congrats!

  • Sarah - the problem is that Smokey is a little gimpy.  He's a shepard/basset hound mix, so he's a 75 lb shepard with basset hound front legs that turn out at 90 degree angles away from each other.  He doesn't get around too well, sometimes...

Nates - YAY!  Hope your friend has an easy L&D!

  • Thanks, Sarah, but I think it's a bad thing for me.  Between Taryn and Emma and all the cute kids that pop up here form time to time and two new babies IRL, I think FI has baby fever.

Okay, and maybe I do, too, a little bit.
  • I'm sorry to hear about your stepsister Tide :(

Z was moving out of her biting phase when I came on the scene, but apparently it was an interesting 5 months (from 1 year to 1.5 I believe). Apparently at one point dad bit back (gently) and she was so shocked she quit.

I could lend you Katie and she could help clean. And by clean I mean take all of the baby/toddler toys and put them in her dog toy box.
  • Aww, love the stories! I can kind of see what Anna means about Em's wise eyes. They're always sparkly too :)
  • What's our girl/boy ratio on TK now? I'm trying to remember all the babies and I feel like we only have two boys ( Lpstl and AcinDc) to 4 girls (Mags, Tide, Sucrets, B). Isn't Banana having a girl too?
  • Tide might have twin boys and that should even out the ratio pretty close.
  • Ah yes, twin boys for Tide it is :)
