Yesterday I found this cover of Kanye West's "Stronger" done by 30 Seconds to Mars. I am generally pretty indifferent to 30STM (don't love them or hate them), but I think this cover song is so well done. They took a song that I already love and made it their own.

PS: If you're a fan of lead singer, Jared Leto (or Jordan Catalano as I call him), then you'll like the slideshow video. I promise.

Well I have no sound, but I hate that Kanye song because I love the Daft Punk song and I'm not a big Kanye fan so it made me sad. So I dunno how I feel about it.

Kanye West should've stopped at his first album. I love that album, but then it was all douche downhill after that.

30 Seconds to Mars sounds like every other angsty band to me, so nope. Don't like it.

I think it sounds strange.  But, I do love me some Jared (or, Jordan!).  He's foxy.

ETA: ok I found it online and listened. It's ok, a little boring for my ears personally. I think it's his monotone voice. But I don't hate it.

I like 30STM and I like Kanye but this cover wasn't really doing it for me. It's hard to believe Jared Leto is like 40 years old or something. I swear he is a vampire, he actually looks younger than he did in the 90s! Or maybe he's a real life picture of Dorian Gray O__o

Gotcha. I guess I don't get the "angsty" thing.

I dunno, I just thought it was interesting to take a hip hop song and turn into a slower, darker rock song. I'm not saying it should win a grammy or anything.
