I am pretty shocked that a person on a school board could 1, feel this way, and 2, talk about it publicly (and rather, annoyingly) on their Facebook.  I'm also shocked that this news article was written about FB posts, but apparently, that's what this world is reduced to (this is the journalist in me shaking her head).

At first I thought this thread was about AATB's dentist.

I love how these supposed Christians use these arguments, but they do not practice tolerance, or non-judgement. I believe the bible reads judge not lest ye be judged. But I'm quite sure these are for the other Christians. Not him.

The lack of the bible they seem to thump all the time drive me nuts. I believe God himself will decide my fate once I leave this earth.

I STILL can't get my head around how somebody can use religion as an excuse to say somthing like that. Do they not know the definition of wrath, and that according to the Bible, all "sins" are the same in the eyes of God? Thus, by being wrathful (and a whole bunch of other words I can think of that they definitely don't say in the Bible), the person is committing a sin just as "bad" as the "sin" that they are judging. FWIW, I don't at all believe that being LGBTQ is a sin.

But there I go again, actually using more than one sentence in the Bible to formulate an argument. Silly me.

First, AATB I love that you're all up on The Advocate reading about the goings on in the gayborhood.

Second, this man, if you can call him that, is one of the many reasons young LGBT kids are driven to take their own lives. Imagine how a gay kid in his district must feel after seeing this? There's a special place in hell for hateful m-effers like him. I long for the day when a crazy bigot like this doesn't get a single supporter around them yet nothing but the deserved condemnation by all their peers for the pathetic example of humanity they are living. I'm so sick of this crazy "Christians" and their irrational hatred of homosexuals. I know they're just internalizing their inability to accept their own same sex attractions and therefore lashing out at those of us who can, but really, grow the hell up or shut the fuuck up. The next bible thumper to start shiit with me is going to be praying to Jesus for a whole different reason b/c I'm gonna cut a bitch. (j/k, I'm a pacifist, but these a-holes make it really hard).

I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of the other specific laws and how to follow them:

1. When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord - Lev.1:9. The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?

2. I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?

3. I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness - Lev.15:19- 24. The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.

4. Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?

5. I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath.. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?

6. A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination - Lev. 11:10, it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this?

7. Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here?

8. Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev. 19:27. How should they die?

9. I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?

10. My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev. 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? - Lev.24:10-16. Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)

No I do NOT think that everyone in the south are backwoods rednecks... also please refrain from attempting to quote me when using the word racist. I never said that nor have I ever used that word in a post! My mother lives in the south and she is NOT a backwoods redneck.. Where did you even get that from anyway. My exact words were "assbackwards". I said what I said because I witnessed my brother get the shiit beat out of him firsthand, have shiit thrown at him in our mothers yard by big 'macho' rednecks in their big trucks painted in camouflage with the rebel flag on the back, and have people calling her house threatening my brothers life for being gay. So if you think I had NO right to say what I said...Please let me know. Until you have walked a mile in my brothers shoes, and dealt with this issue yourself, do not classify me in that manner!
