Actually I think TK is hiding the post. When I refresh this thread isn't there and then when I refresh again it's there.

Both TK and the work program I was using crashed at the same time, so I just restarted my computer and started looking at wedding bands. My E ring has a thicker band, so I'm trying to decide between one of those contour bands or a more ornate filigree/scroll band. I'm torn.

mehgan- Do you have a pic of the e-ring? I love talking jewelry. I used to work in the industry so I am little obsessed and I miss it.

Pretty ring! I like the thicker bands with diamond solitaires too. I think for my style I would put one of the thin contour bands on either side of the e-ring. However, that's not "you" so it doesn't matter.

I like the vintage style wide bands too. I know a lot of the chains do remount/restyle shows. You might be able to find a more unique setting there and have your diamond put in it. You said you like your thick band on your e-ring though too, so I know it's tough.

With a ring that gorgeous and statement-making, I wouldn't need a band LOL.

A few years ago, my sister (who got married in 2000) had her .75 carat princess diamond reset from a standard yellow gold band into in a white gold band with baguettes on the sides, so maybe if I don't find what I'm looking for, I'll do that in a few years.

ETA: 'That' being reset it into a band like the one you pictured, not one like my sister's. I had to clarify LOL

I like the being able to reset diamonds. It allows you to keep the original diamond that H bought for you, but still switch up styles every once in a while.

I always would try and tell guys that it's okay to propose with a solitaire, but so many of them think that's not good enough. IMO it's better to do that and actually surprise your gf than to take them shopping with you. I liked selling surprises a lot more. It's not like they can't have say in bands and/or settings.
