Snarky Brides

SInce it's dead and we like books and zombies...

Anyone read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies?  I just started it today.  I have to say, any book that starts with "It is a truth universally acknowledged that a zombie in possession of brains must be in want of more brains." must be pretty awesome.

Thoughts?  Other random convo starters?

  • They have a second book to the Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Chapters just e-mailed me to tell me about it. I forget what it's called..

I started reading World War Z the other day but with essays and exams coming up it's going to take awhile for me to finish it. So far it's pretty good.

  • I feel like having a quiet night so I just went to BandN and got The Help and The Giver. I also got WellWed and TK Magazine NY. I haven't bought a knot magazine in years, so I figured I would give it another shot.
  • Also, Nebb, I saw a Zombie Survival Guide. I was all, "ooooh SO good for Nebb's SS!"
  • Theres a guy at work who always makes fun of me for my zombie thing. If I get him for SS at work, im so buying him that book!
  • I wish my student would post his zombie survival plan here. It would be pretty awesome.  I think it has illustrations and everything.

Oh M&M I love The Giver. I read it a long time ago in elementary or middle school and the details are fuzzy to me but I remember that I loved it.

Has anyone ever read Never Let Me Go?

They're making a movie from it with Keira Knightly and it actually looks good.

  • I kinda love kiera nightly, I didnt used to, but I do now.
  • I read The GIver as an adult and absolutely loved it.  I wonder how eye-opening it would have been as a kid.  I'm pretty sure it would have been my favorite book ever.
  • Definitely Nates. I'm pretty sure I cried when I read it.
