Argh! Worst day!

Today was a suckass day. One of my coworkers got fired, not a bad thing, but I had to help with this firing. Then I find out my great-grandpa had died. Our internet was down for several hours and I was on the phone with Comcast for an hour, and was hung up on 3 times. FML. Where's my booze?

Aw, I'm sorry about your great-grandpa. I lost both of mine this year and it sucked. Were you close?

I don't think I could fire someone. I'd feel too guilty. And I hate Comast. I have nothing but rage for them.

I had to watch people get fired from Psmart and it sucked. I was the only female manager so every time a female was disciplined or fired I had to be there, bleh.

I agree about Comcast, freaking evil.

Mara, you really did have a suckass day.  I feel bad on all accounts, especially greatgrandpa.  ((hugs)) If I were in Indy, I'd do it for real, but luckily I get to miss FMIL's insanity and stay in Jersey!

I hadn't seen my g-grandpa in several years, but we were close. He was a great old man. But, he lived a long life- 102 years.

The firing went pretty well. She was very professional and understanding.

Comcast can eat my ass with a spoon. I'm ready to go back to Fios. Even if their customer service was the suck, the internet at least worked consistently.

I haven't been a part of too many firings but they are no fun. The asst manager before me at our jewelry store got fired while I was on vacation, but I knew about it before hand. I also had to work with her the entire weekend before I left and act like nothing was up. The hardest thing was saying "see you when I get back"  when I knew that wouldn't be the case.

Sorry to hear about your great grandpa Mara. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Having to be part of the firing must have sucked too, I dread the day that becomes part of my job responsibilities. My mom was a higher up when she was still working when they did a massive down size and had to let dozens of people go, she said it never got easier. The worst were the one's she had a closer personal relationship with. I'm too much of a sap for that, I don't know if I could do it.
