Snarky Brides

grammar, spelling, etc. nazis please give me your input

I either need to be flamed or valdiated...

I turned in a paper to an instructor, and the paragraph guidelines told me to give a list of my goals for my clinical rotation day. I put the goals seperated by commas, and I had quite a few goals. My instructor gave me a satisfactory grade for the day but commented that I had a "run on" sentence in my first paragraph. While I am aware that it is rather lengthy, I am not finding where and how it qualifies as a "run on". From what I understand, a run on is two independence clauses strung together incorrectly. Here is the sentence. Feel free to put my in my place.

"My personal goals were to arrive at the clinical site on time, go to the floor and check for any discharges, record each student’s patient’s RN and CNA, take attendance as students arrived, obtain the number of medications for each student’s patient, inform each student of their scheduled lunch time, give a copy of my personal goals to my instructor, collect the students’ patients’ vital signs throughout the day and report them to the appropriate CNA, ensure that the elected students were ready to give medications by 0800, ensure that students had completed physical assessments and started on their paperwork by 0900, ensure that students reported off to their nurse and another student before leaving for their lunch, be available to help or find help for students in need of assistance, check each student’s patient’s rooms for cleanliness before the end of the shift, record all I&O information from each student and report to the appropriate CNA, discard patient profile sheets before leaving the floor, and ensure that all students reported off to their appropriate nurse before coming to the post conference."

I know it was long, but we are not allowed to use bullets, so I had to make a paragraph out of my list on information.
