One of my BM's is pregnant!!!!!!

I'm soooo freaking excited for her! She will be about 5 months at the wedding, now we just have to hope she will fit into the dress she already bought!

I just thought that you ladies would like to see a nice post about this instead of a "can I kick her out of my WP?" post

oh and I'm not going to lie, I'm a little jealous too :)

  • Oh good! I'm glad you are excited for her. I just read a post about a girl who kicked her FSIL out of the BP because she is pregnant. I just don't understand these people. Its good you are glad for you friend!

  • That is awesome news! And I'm so glad to read your healthy and joyous reaction to the news. I think that sometimes on the boards we hear so many whinging girls, that we forget that there are normal people out there, who are actually happy for their friends and loved ones when something cool happens.

  • One of mine is too! And she too will be 5 months at my wedding! :) I am so excited for her. I hope her dress fits. I am sure it will need to be altered, but I am hoping for the best. Otherwise, I am sure we can find something else for her to wear in the 22 hours between when her plane lands and when we walk down the aisle!  (Er... I hope we can!)

I am glad you are also excited about your BM being pregnant. When I heard about mine, I was way too excited to even THINK about how it would affect my wedding. She was the one who brought it up. Ah babies...

  • The dress are pretty fitted they are in my bio. But she ordered hers a little big, the next size down was too tight! So she is in hopes that if she eats healthy and continues to run on a regular basis that she should be ok for the most part! We will see, either way I cant wait to find out when she is really due, right now it looks like around my B day!!! which makes me more excited!!!

  • When I saw the title of this post, I was all ready to tell a self-important spoiled princess that the world doesn't revolve around her and how dare she be upset that a close friend was pregnant.

I'm so relieved to be disappointed :)

    Congratulations to your friend :)

  • Congrats to her!  One of my BMs and our reader were both pregnant.  I gave them cute baby stuff from Etsy as part of their gifts.  The BM also got a GC for a pregnancy massage as her BM gift, which she LOVED, if you're looking for gift ideas.

I am actually having pregnancy related issue re one of my FSILs.  Here's the story (its kind of long.  sorry about that!)

My FSIL (who is not a BM.  She has not married into my family yet and was engaged months after I already chose my bridal party) will be 9 months pregnant at my wedding - assuming she makes it  since she is due 2 weeks to the day after I get married.  (side note - totally bummed that I will likely miss the baby being born. :-(

So, I want her to know she is important to us and that we would like her involved in the ceremony.  But I am 99.9999% sure she wouldn't want to do one of the two readings we are going to have during the ceremony.  And I don't want to ask her because if she shocks us and says yes but then can't be at the wedding, we will have to find a "back up" and I don't think it is nice to essentially tell someone the day of the wedding that they weren't important enough to be asked in the first place, but since FSIL can't make it ... (you get the point).  Also, we wouldn't cut out one of the readings b/c one is on friendship and one is on love and my FI and were bffs for a long time before we started dating and we want both in the ceremony.

So I am trying to think of some way to involve her in the ceremony in a way that won't require her to be on her feet for long and won't really be missed if she can't make it.

We are having a non-denom ceremony at a hotel and we aren't having programs.

    Any ideas or suggestions?
