i can't help it.  i'm a pro-late-baby heathen.  My poor mother.  I was due to be born on July 11th and didn't appear until August 4th.  Supposedly it was one of the hottest summers on record.

You should go dress shopping with someone.  My friend was due 11/17 and was so ready to pop that baby out.  The saleslady told her a story of another pregnant MOH who went into labor after dress shopping with her friend.  My friend went into labor the next day, baby was born yesterday!

She's not coming until the 18th, people.  Just be patient and wait until then so she can be born on my DH's birthday.

My SIL did everything under the sun to induce labor, she asked her doctor about them and surprisingly he okayed them, but she still was freaking me out! Drinking crazy teas and oils, going on bumpy car rides... My brother was helping her and I was a nervous wreck. None worked and she had to be (medically) induced after her due date.

because if the baby gets too big it can be dangerous for the mom and baby.  The more time they have to bake isn't always better.

The baby can actually run out of room in the womb if they sit too long, and at delivery it can be MUCH harder for the mom to vaginally deliver a bigger baby.  Mom could become literally exhausted and not be able to push, the baby could literally not fit etc.
