Re: So does anyone know of any good sales

  • What kind of sales? Like clothing?
  • fatwallet.com is AWESOME for looking up sales and deals!
It's time. Adoption saving and process started in November 2012.

  • Everywhere.  This is the time to stock up on spring/summer stuff because stores are transitioning to fall.  Heavy fall shipments come in at the end of August, so they need ot move stuff out.  I just scored a $148 dress at Anthro for $39.95 :).

So, this made me stroll over to their website and I fell in love with two dresses I can't afford. I'm sad and I'm blaming you. <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-tongue-out.gif" border="0" alt="Tongue out" title="Tongue out" />

  • I wish we had an Anthro here :(

  • Ricks--free shipping until Spet. if you have the Antrho card (just a discount card, not a CC).

Led--Sorry, lol.  But, if it makes it any better, their clothes literally last forever.  I used to have sticker shock at even the sale clothes (79.95?!?!), but my stuff from there has lasted so long, and I've had to give away/throw out a lot of my other clothes from other places.

Also, when I worked at Express we had that crazy box sale every year at this time.  I think Banana is doing some Mad Men promo, but IDK what that is about.
  • American Eagle has all their jeans on sale, I don't know if that helps.  I'm not a fan of a lot of their clothes but I really like their jeans.  I bet you if you went down to the mall you'd find a lot of sales.  I always seem to have better luck when I go to the mall ot looking for anything inparticular than when I have to find something.
  • That's good to hear!

  • Well, if you want to trek to Iowa, Target's tax-free weekend is this weekend.

Do not mess in the affairs of dinosaurs because you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
I love you Missy. Even though you are not smart enough to take online quizzes to find out really important information. ~cew
  • Oh man, I would love Tax free Target.

  • Everything in Target is tax free for the weekend?

We don't pay sales tax on clothes, shoes, bags, etc. so that's pretty awesome, but everythig else is taxed (7%).
  • We pay taxes on everything but the COL here is super cheap.

  • I want totally tax free Target :)  Right around Christmas!  I'm a big Black Friday shopper.
  • We pay different sales taxes depending on the city. The highest I've seen and paid myself was 10.750%.

Oh my.  I think NY's is 8.25% but higher in the city.  They do have tax free days, but our economy (NJ) is definitely stimulated by NY shoppers  :)
