My cousin is getting married in 2 weeks. She sent out invitations with her registry and a request for "montary" gifts for their honeymoon. And, the wedding is outdoors in MN at 2:30 in the afternoon. Food served at 4:30, then drinks and dancing (without food) at 6:30 at the VFW. Then, to top it off the rehersal dinner is at the KFC.
I tried to politely tell her that she might want food when she serves the alcohol, but she said that people will already have eaten and won't need any food. I pointed out that some venues won't let you serve people alcohol without food. She said that if her budget allowed for it, she'd have food. Would it be bad of me to go to the local 7-11 and grab some bags of chips and salsa or pretzels if she has NOTHING for her guests?
And the dinner at KFC. She said it's all she could afford. I get the lack of money. It's an outdoor wedding, why not have the rehersal as a picnic? You could probably do that a lot cheaper than KFC.
Also: Please don't quote, I may DD.
