I ordered my shoes months ago. They are full custom, and I was beyond excited to have them designed/decorated by a high end designer. It was my single TOTAL splurge of the wedding.
I had a design that I wanted, and the designer offered some suggestions. I thought I would like them, and I did at the time, on flat paper. Then she transferred the design to the shoe itself. And it didn't wow me, but it was ok. Now I got a few more photos from the designer... and I don't like them at all.
She did exactly what I said she could do. But different angles of the shoe look awful. I don't like them to the point that I think they are kinda uglyl. And I'm stuck paying a fortune for them because it's not her fault.
I don't have them in hand yet, so maybe I'll like them when I see them... but I don't have much hope. I wish I had stayed with the original idea, I was not "talked out of it" but shown some other suggestions that I thought I liked better, but not being able to the see the idea until it was executed, and only seeing flat photos was the undoing.
Thank God I'm the only one in my office today, because I've been crying for the last hour. And I have a blasting migrane now to make things even better.
If anyone has any advice or words of wisdom, I'm all ears. But I think I'm just stuck with my own screw up.
