No thanks. They were just people who liked to talk and thought they were cooler than they were because newbs made a BFD over "nomming". It started as people with icanhazcheezeburger and other animal pics in their sig and exploded from there.

I've seen Tequila as a name, it was pronounced like Te-quee-la, with lots of "e" in the middle.
