Yep that was the headline of an article that came out of London.

Teachers are telling the kids who are being targeted by bullies for their sexual orientation to just act "less gay" by dressing, acting or wearing their hair differently. They say it is because the teachers don't know how to handle bullying because they didn't learn about it in college.
Any teacher should be intelligent enough (and compassionate enough) to never say something like that regardless of college training. All it does is tell the kids who are being bullied that they are more or less asking for it.
So wrong. On so many levels.
ETA: I'm just glad that the higher ups in the schools see how wrong this is and are trying to do something about it too.
