Someone call me a whambulance

I am going to take a moment and whine, because I can't go home and have some wine with my whine. I am on call all night until 8am, and have to be at work at 8am, and still didn't leave work. I hate leaving because it never fails, I pull into the damn driveway and a crisis call comes in. Who wants to call me a whambulance???

If there was a number for it, I would seriously call it. I keep telling my supervisors that the next crisis call I take a a screening center will be screening myself!

I am a crisis counselor for kids. We are a 24/7 program. So basically I worked from 1-9, I am oncall 9-8 and work tomorrow 8-4. The oncall I can go home for, but I have a hard time sleeping because I get nervous that the phone will ring and I am going to have to go to a friggin police station at like 2am. I am burnt out!

I work as a nurse and we have the dreaded call time. I feel your pain there, when you THINK you MIGHT be ok look out disaster hits. Yet there are times the place seems like a mess with olny 3 RN's on and you dont get called in somehow? 

I am on call tonight 11p-7a so I hear you....
