XP Paging J&K

Where did you get your makeup done?  Did you love it?  I had my makeup trial last week and hated it and the local board isn't very helpful to me considering most people aren't Lax.

Re: XP Paging J&K

  • I got my makeup done at Metropolitan salon and spa.  (We also got our manis and pedis done there.)  I did like it.  At first during my trial it looked like what I could have done myself, so I asked her to do a little more and I loved the way it turned out.

All my BMs and MIL and my mom got their makeup done there too and loved it.  Their prices are good too, IMO.

  • I just saw in your post on the WI board that that's where you did yours.  I'm sorry you didn't like it.  Maybe you could ask to do another trial with someone else?  I did mine with Dani and I really liked her.

  • Thank God you said that - I was hoping for that response!  I got mine done there too and when I took a couple pics that day I thought it looked like you could see the foundation lines.  I didn't know if my MUA just wasn't that great (she's 3 weeks out of school - just hired) or if it was the makeup they used.  Yours seemed to photograph perfectly so I'll just have to make sure to get the right color foundation and take pics before I leave to make sure.  Thanks!!

  • Yeah, just don't be afraid to speak up if you don't like something or you're concerned.  You're paying them, you know?

And if you do end up with a few lines or something that you don't notice, that should be easy enough to blend yourself later (bring a makeup sponge with you) or at the very worst, that your photog could edit out!

If you do want to go somewhere else, I've heard good things about Sue Kolve's, but it's much pricier.

  • Or because I'll puke on you?

  • Are you trying to break the pretty spell? Because I'm sure puking on me will do it. ;)

Yep, I'll just have to make sure to do this.  I loved my hair, but wasn't thrilled about my makeup.  It's encouraging that you loved yours though - I'll just have to make sure to be vocal.  Thanks for the response!
