Your month board is so nauseating I wanted to create yet another thread in its honor.

I've lurked it for a little bit this afternoon and holy crap, that chick in there who has her dress already!?!  The wedding's not for a year!

This is how I feel about my club board. We are like 2 years out and all I read is "I am an organized and detailed person so I want to plan it all right way." Then why have a 2yr engagement?

Yeah I lurked for a bit too, and it was too long for me.

That poor girl I know what $130 means to me as a single mother, and new homeowner. Those people suck, and I would just tell them thanks but no thanks, have "your day" by yourself.

I would never treat a friend like that.

I'm Oct 2011, and I have my dress. I also wanted to go shopping with my mom though, so I had to do it while I was in the country, lol.

It seriously cracked my shiit up.  I haven't even been engaged for a year, I can't imagine having that much figured out that far in advance.

Honest to God, the most planning I've done has been three months out.  And even some of that stuff, I felt like it could wait.  And there's roughly 400ish people coming to our damn wedding.

To be fair - my month board can be annoying sometimes (save for the kickass mod stephnumbers, *waves* and a few other really cool girls), because it's mostly people posting about "oh I got THIS done" and "oh we picked THIS out" and honest to fucking hell, I couldn't care less if you booked your damn florist or how thick your table runners are.  Dammit.

Yeah they are.  That... and my parents part of the guest list seriously got out of hand.  It's pretty embarassing and I'm really glad that our folks are paying for it because I would have lost my mind months ago.

My mom invited people I've never even met and apparently they're coming.  I got a call from her one day (the day before the RSVP date, too, mind you) and she was insisting that I invite this new hired man that's been working not FOR my dad, but for someone else who sometimes works with my dad.  Apparently he gets along well with all the guys, and he's REALLY NICE!  And he's the only one not invited yet, so he'd feel left out.  When I asked her what his name was?  She said she'd find out.

....I can't make this shiit up.

I wish I could banish my mother to the Nov '11 board.

I just read a thread in Nov '11 about some chick who's upset that her MOH is unavailable to her because her MOH is going to be deployed for six months during her planning and she really needs to get a lot of the planning done before she's gone.

Wow, that's insane.

I rarely go to the month boards.  I only went to my month board for like two weeks after I set the date.  They are all super on top of things, and it stressed me out.  I like the people on my location board (ATL), but it's not that busy.

Yeah cran - I have barely been to my month board at all this month.  Freaks the crap out of me, all the brides stressing out and the other half of them are posting wedding pics.  Fuhgeddaboutit.

After seeing Nates post, I wandered over to what will likely be my month board to check out the atmosphere (we're not engaged, but we know due to scheduling issues that we'll be getting married in Aug/Sept 2012).

Man, just glancing in the Sept 2012 board gives me heart palpitations!  They all have their venues, photographers, caterers, DJ's all booked, and bought their dresses.  Yep, no joke!  ALMOST 2 YEARS OUT!  Some of them had it all booked back in April - two and a half years in advance!  They get annoyed when a vendor doesn't want to talk to them yet.  And they say things "book up early in my area", though it seems to be coming from girls in New Jersey, Kansas City, Detroit, and Orlando, so I'm not really sure which "area" is this crazy early.

And the girls are going, "Only 650 more days!"  Um, only?!

I'm not going to be getting engaged until probably next summer.  These girls are convinced all the wedding dresses on earth will be sold out by then!  The wedding apocalypse will be upon anyone who dares to not book a Sept 2012 wedding before the end of 2010!

Haha, I love that it inspired another thread.

I can't lie--i have venue, church, dj and photog booked.  However, I did that because shiit books fast as hell here.  Within a few weeks of us booking our venue, our whole weekend (just our room, I think, but maybe both rooms) was booked.  If you want good vendors you have to book early.

BUT, everything else can really wait.  I mean, shoes?  FG dresses? Earrings?  Minor details.

Nates- Thanks! I feel the same! And I know what you mean about booking early in NJ... And i have been out of state, so I had to do as much as I could on those few trips in. But I too stopped with the venue, photographer and band.
And that one girl on nov'11 sessions or something, I just get frustrated/angry when i read her posts!
