It looks very pink in those shots. I think it's fine, but as you mention, asking his mother might not be a bad idea for covering your back.

Also, a colored or black cardigan will make it less wedding dressy.

One of my AILS (aunts-in-law?) wore a stark white dress to my wedding, which actually looked a lot like a short wedding dress that I had considered. I did notice, was slightly annoyed, but then moved on. I probably wouldn't have even noticed if somebody wore white to the RD.

'However, my philosophy is that if I have a moment of doubt about wearing something to anything wedding-related, I won't wear it, just for my own peace of mind. Would it be worth the headeache if the bride did take offense?

Although I really, really like the color. You said it's H&M?
