  • Must-haves:
Dyson vacuum cleaner.  I have the Animal, and it's fantastic.
Perfect Brownie Pan.  It really works like they show on tv.
Moroccan Oil for hair.  Great stuff.

Awesome stuff:  Shark vacuum, mop and handheld cleaner, the blue Tidy Cats litter, TIGI hair products, my Camry, bare minerals makeup, furniture from the Room Place

Disappointment: Sally Hansen stuff (every time!  I try something new and her stuff is just crap)

[QUOTE]I think I need to break down and get the Dyson animal.  I hear people rave about it all the time.  And with 4 dogs?  Yeah, need it.

I was really hesitant to spend that much money on a vacuum, but I have wasted at least that much on cheap models.  We have a black lab that sheds constantly, 3 long-haired women, and 3 cats in the house, so there's hair everywhere.  The only problem is that I have to cut the human hair off the roller about once a month, as it bogs down and doesn't turn well.  But it only takes about 5 minutes to fix, and it works great otherwise.

  • I love the animal... it works so well. I have a dalmation & pretty bad allergies, and I've never had a problem.

Does this work to cut down on odor? I am having the hardest time finding a litter that doesn't stink. I've tried the Arm & Hammer, and right now have an all-natural type (in a green bag, can't remember the name but it looks like pellets). I need a litter with an odor-blocker that actually works.

Or, load up the room with air fresheners.

<div>Yes it's awesome!  It's a little bit bigger pieces, not the really fine litter.  I've particularly found that it seems to soak up the ammonia smell, which is my biggest problem.  My cat drinks water like it's her job, so then she pees all day long, and it used to be with other litters that the ammonia smell would be strong, even scooping daily.  Now I only have to clean it every other day or so.  It's worth a try at least - it's the best I've tried and they have smaller bags, so maybe you could try a smaller bag and see how it works for your wee one.</div>

We've got a Dyson, but it isn't the Animal, and it's the bomb. It pulls out hair we don't even see in the carpet. J requested one for Christmas several years ago. His list this year has the hand held model on it.

Yeas: SleepNumber bed, iTouch, Blackberry, cetaphil cleanser, Cetaphil lotions and cream, ful backpack, PS3, Columbia sportswear (especially all fleece stuff),  Kitchenaid stand mixer, bareMinerals, Revlon post trauma nail stuff, Nail Envy by OPI, Dove body wash and bar, Delsym cough medicine in grape, Carmex, Clorox wipes, the battery powered bathroom brush (it is small and has 3 or 54 interchangable heads), Dermablend and setting powder.... I'm sure there's more. Jury's still out on the Olay 7 effects cream.

Nays: zinc lozenges, store brand Splenda, knit gloves from Target/Walmart (NEVER last),

I second this.  I used the arm and hammer for a long time thinking that it would do the best job for the ammonia smell but it sucked.  The tidy cat stuff works phenomenally- you can't smell anything.
  • Missy- The handheld dyson was supposed to go on my disappointment list. The battery doesn't hold a long charge at all! It does kinda look like something you'd use in space, but that's the best part about it.

[QUOTE]Note to kcullen:  I miss my C240.  The electronic display panel behind the wheel started to fail and it would have been a $5k + repair, as well as all the electronics in the car starting to fail (including the key syncing with the car), so we traded it in for a different car (which we also no longer have, for different reasons).  One day I hope to have another, it was SOOOO easy to drive.

It drives like a dream and Mercedes has pretty rockin' customer service. Sadly, it's not mine, it's FI's car lol. But I've drive it like 3 times haha, she just got it in June. My Milan drives fine, I like it well enough, but Ford's customer service is horrendous and I will not buy another car from them again. I'm going back to foreign cars after this one, sorry USA.

  • I love my Tidy Cats. I normally use the red, green or orange depending on the sale. The trick I find though is that the bags don't clump nearly as well as the plastic tubs do, which is stupid and wasteful but what can you do.

    Wen hair products are awesome.

Disappointments : Comcast - they suck hardcore and are the only providers in my area which makes me pissy.

Yeah, sadly the C class has been generally plagued with electronics problems (count yourselves lucky if you don't have them!) and FI is trying to convince me that we can get something as good or better that's more reliable, for less money.  I am sure he is right, since he's a mechanic for Lexus (and has worked on all kinds of cars) and he knows this kind of stuff.  But we can't afford a new car until after the wedding and after I go back to school (unless he starts raking in serious cash, which is a possibility at some point) so for now, it's just discussion.  :)
