I love Bill (*as I only just finished the first book and am going off the show) but I'm kind of hoping for Sookie and Eric to hook up.
I like the new Were too, he is cute.

Other thoughts?

*I just read the first book yesterday and now I'm anxious to read the next. Lets hope the library will have it in...

I want to read all the books and I don't really want to ruin anything but it doesnt matter, I'll read them regardless.

Franklin = bad news.

I don't think Lorena made Bill have sex with her.  Rage/Sex kind of blur the lines with vamps.

If you are a Sookie/Eric fan, you'll love next season (if it follows the books)

Alcide was always my favorite, even in the books.

Yea, at first I wasn't sure about Franklin and kind of possibly liked him but as soon as he came to Jessicas door I was like nope, not good.

I'm not currently a Sookie/ Eric fan because I still love Bill but from what I've been told, reading the books will change my opinion.

Honestly, I think this series is SO much better than the books.  I kind of forced myself to keep reading the series after the first couple of books.  I was not impressed.

Really? I heard the books are awesome. The first book definitely follows the first season perfectly. I definitely love the show though

I think the books kind of jumped the shark after #4 or so.  The next book/season coming up is my favorite.

Um were you guys disturbed by the ending sex scene?? I was.

I shrieked cause I wasn't expecting that whole neck thing.

I love the books and the TV series.  I think they've done an amazing job casting Eric, Bill, Alcide, Sam and Sookie's brother.  I want to love Sookie in the series but the books make her sound more busty/curvy.  I think Anna Paquin is too tiny but that's just my 2 cents.  I hate Tara.....I hated her in the books and I hate her in the series.  I am rooting for Franklin to kill her.  I'm glad they've kept Lafayette.  He's amusing.  I also hope they got more of Pam in She's awesome.

Oh I don't think Loretta/Lorraina (I can never remember her name) made Bill have sex with her.  It was more of her pushing his buttons and her pushing him over the edge and him responding with violence.  The vamps tend to mix violence, blood and sex a lot so its understandable how he responds with hurting her while having sex even though the sex is consensual.

The Lorena/Bill scene bothered me. Not so much the neck thing, which was disturbing, but because it kind of killed the character for me. I don't understand the point of him hooking up with her even if out of anger, because she wanted it so it's not like he was punishing her. It felt like he wanted to rape or hurt her, and it backfired when she said she loved him. And he can never go back to Sookie, so it was pointless.

I like Franklin. I'm sure he's a bad guy, but something about him makes me laugh. ANd I do kind of hope he kills Tara, she is really irritating.

Everything tide says. I had to force myself through a few of the books, but then again I sort of inhaled them.  I think I read the first 8 in a few weeks; there are 10 totall now, I think. 

The ending sex scene freaked me out a little, to be honest.  I was totally not expecting that (I don't remember anything similar from the books?)  Even FI looked at me like "W.T.F?!"

I will be very happy if season 4 follows the books, too.  Alcide was always my favorite (except the weretiger, whose name I can't remember now.)

I was a little creeped out by the ending sex scene.  Of course, since the books are told from Sookie's point of view, it's entirely possible that something similar happened there, too.  

**MINI BOOK SPOILER **  It's definitely not out of Bill's book character (as evidenced by the trunk scene in Club Dead), although HBO seems to be painting him with a nobler brush.

Hi ladies... I am a random lurker but I love True Blood and had to ask some questions! Ok is there any way Bill could have been dreaming and did not actually hook up with Lorena? It was so out of character for him! He is supposed to be in love with Sookie! Tara is not my fav but she keeps getting used by people it is so sad! I like Bill but I am really rooting for the Sookie- Erik hook up! Man he is smokin hot! Does anyone know what is up with the dream Sam had about him and Bill hooking up?

Bill gave Sam some of his blood in season 2, which causes Sam to be sexually attracted to Bill.

Also, this is pure speculation on my part, but I think that Lorena may have needed Bill to drink her blood in order to re-establish her control over him.  (A vampire can't refuse a direct order from his maker, unless the maker has previously released him from service -- which Lorena did.)  So, I think she might have goaded him into it.  I definitely think it was real and I don't think it's out of Bill's character at all, but I just finished reading the books and Bill's book-character is clouding my perception of his TV-character.  I reeeeeally don't like him!

Bill having angry violent sex with Lorena didn't surprise me at all.....very in his character from the books but they haven't shown that side of him very much in the TV show like you mentioned. 

Anyone tired of Jessica always bitching about not knowing the rules of being a vampire, etc. etc.  Though I've got to admit the thought of always waking up everyday a virgin again would make me whiny and bitchy too.

So who do you think is Arlene's baby daddy??

I loved all the books and agree that Anna Paquin (whom I love) is way too skinny to portray the real Sookie.  Sookie in the books is curvy. 

Honnestly I was so happy to see Alcide, I don't find any of the other male characters good looking and I was excited to finally have a hottie to check out!

IMO Lorena either forced Bill to have sex with her or because she was his maker they have a bond that they can't control.  I am pretty sure that in the books Bill was not released from her service based on what happens next.  The neck thing was kinda disturbing.

I haven't watched many episodes so I'll have to rent the first 2 seasons to get back into it.  How much does it follow the books?

So what's with Sam's family. I don't read the books, but what other than Sam getting himself into a mess is his brother going to cause this season. I get that they are trying to keep his character in the series, but I don't see how any of that fits with the Bill/Eric/Sookie/Tara/New vamp thing.
