Ok, so this stupid weight loss clinic ive been going to - while I dont like the "program" at all, I do like the testing that is available to me. Today I had a calorimeter test to measure my BMR.
According to the test - breathing into a tube with my nose plugged for 10 minutes - I apparently have a BMR of 1973. When I do online calculations or my own calculations, I have a BMR of 1630-1700. So there is a fair bit of disconnect there. I followed all of the guidelines for the test (no stimulants and no exercise the day of or day before, no eating within 4 hours prior to the test), so I cant have possibly fucked it up.
SO, my question - all of my calculations for food intake is based on the 16-1700 number. Should I take the 1900 one as my new guide point or should I sort of do a middle point? Any thoughts on this? Am I barking up the wrong tree?
