Good News...well kinda

So I spoke with the owner of the video company and I nicely ripped him a new one. He agreed to give me the deposit back that I paid as well as the raw footage (which I am kinda scared to see, but feel I deserve). It doesn't give me back the video that I dreamed of, but that money will go to my account where it belongs as opposed to his pocket for a 1/8 ass job!

That's good news, definitely. If you get the video in the hands of a good video editor they may be able to salvage something.

YAY for getting your money back! I mean, it still sucks, but at least you're going to get the raw footage instead of their dumb dubbed stuff.. (which still peeves me like none other and I don't even know you!)

Glad for deposit returns, I know it sucks to not get the end product you wanted but that is the upside.

And I agree, he sucks and you need to tell anyone that will listen to you.

It does suck, but at least this man was reasonable enough to give back your deposit and give you the raw footage.  Maybe you can make something decent from that?

Good, glad you got your money back.
As the PP before me said, can you maybe have a different professional look at it and see what they can do? Maybe a better videographer can pull all the raw footage together and make something for you guys. That is so shiity.
