I work directly next to a Bare Escentuals store. A customer was walking by last night as I was closing, and said "I'm so sorry you have to work next to images and marketing schemes like those" and pointed at the window of BE.
I looked closely and realized I had never noticed their new slogan before.
"Pretty attracts us. Beauty changes us."
The customer and I started talking about what we think it means and what it means for the females that shop here. She was convinced that it meant "If you're pretty, life will be 'meh'. If you use our products, you'll become beautiful, and your life will change."
I thought this would be an interesting discussion for SB. So what do you think?
