Oh, I guess I didn't realize you'd be around for 5 months.  But then again, 5 months ago I wasn't posting much.  So there's that.  I guess I feel like you've just started posting really regularly quite recently.  Don't take that the wrong way, I don't notice people usually unless they do something really idiotic or have been around forever.  So it's probably a good thing.

I have been posting a lot more regularly.. I lurked more here, and posted more on E. But I liked it better over here more the last few months, so I kinda switched.

She posted in the Holiday Card thread, and I wanted to get to know her a little better, so maybe the rest of the girls wouldn't feel so weird including her, you know?

Yuh huh, this.  It's not like you shouldn't ask the questions--I'm one of the first people to say newbs should call out regs and should do what they want without fear of being mean girl-ed (unless they're total asshole idiots), it just came off as kind of weird-ish because of the reasons B said.  I don't know, I'm going to try to open my mouth, remove my foot, and then shut it again now because I feel like I'm talking in circles and I have to head out of here anyway.

I think it's cuz I don't have much interaction with you or J&K.. Whereas some of the other girls I'm friends on FB, and we're doing the SS thing.. I guess I just kind of figured I wasn't a newb anymore.

B - there's quite a few of us who are friends with CCF on FB, and she's in SS this year too.  She's a new-ish poster but she's a reg to me, I guess.  There's at least a handful of us who know of her and have talked to her for a while.

Haha J&K - not knowing who everyone is doesn't make you an asshole.  It just means you haven't "met" everyone yet and that's fine.  There are sometimes lots of people to keep track of and it can take a while before you start recognizing people.  But you know that.

I think it's important to remember SS is not SB.  getting to know someone there does not make them a reg here.  I have a lot of friends I know off the knot, but if they came up in here and started acting like regs because they knew me you'd side eye them too.

Ooh, this. I think it's great that a bunch of people here have bonded over SS and gotten closer, and it makes sense that you all might feel more trusting and familiar with each other. But when that familiarity leaks over to this board, some of us are going to be headscratching a bit. I hate when regs say stuff like, "and you are..." and I don't think this was how it was intended by J&K or B. It's more like, "when did all this happen?"

I dont think being in ss makes you a reg, but being in it does make you more recognizable.  I noticed that she has been around for awhile now, but like I said, more for me at night.  I dont think I would call her a newb. 

Also, alot of the older "regs" are not around as often anymore   I can see them not knowing people for that reason.
