Guys guess what? Right now the secretary general of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon is playing golf at my work! There is security every where. We not sure if he was going to show, but here he is! Then he is eating dinner here later.

Any one else have stories of meeting famous/intersting people at work?

I have met Diane Keaton! She spoke at a conference that my work does every year.

Shaggy came in on a flight from Jamaica.  He seemed really nice - all of the passengers were walking up and asking for  his autograph.  He was polite, and entertained photos/sig requests from everyone.

It was funny because although I've listened to his music on the radio, I've never seen any of his videos.  I always pictured him as a large black guy with dreds (yay, sterotypes), but he was actually short and skinny.

Not me, but my little sister used to be employed at a theatre where Julie Andrews was producing a play a few years ago.  She was there one day when Julie showed up to oversee the production, and she asked my sister for a "glass of bubbly"!  When Chris called me to tell me, she was freaking out.  Julie Andrews is one of her idols.

    Haha it depends on what you consider famous. I work in branson so i have met a lot of 'famous' branson entertainers. I once watched one of the Haygood boys drool on themselves at a party, mid sentance, and not even notice.

The Spurs BB team used to train at our small little univeristy when I was in college. I think they were hiding out, but I never met any of them.

I met Carl Lewis (Olympic Track Star) and former (current at the time) Houston Rockets Coach Rudy T (Tomjonovich?) when I worked at Target in Houston. Those pale in comparison to the Secretary General of the UN, though. Wow!

BTW, Carl was an absolute sweetheart, and Rudy, not so much.

This wasn't at work, but Prince Edward was once in town doing a speech at a local school and stopped by the mall. My aunt and I were in FYE when all of a sudden a dozen men in black suits entered. We didn't even know who he was until one of the store clerks told us, then we had to rush home and look up his picture to make sure it was really him.

I've met Nora Roberts and Carl Hiaasen through my school. I was invited to present them at their respected conferences since I did a lot of work through the media department as a student author. Oh, and I met Daniel Keys (author of Flowers for Algernon).

Here is good ole Vanilla Ice.  He drank 3 bottles of Jager and gave me the whole "so you got a man?"  Im like dude, you are married with kids, to which he replied "oh you dont know about the zip code rule?".  Gah-Ross.

I worked at the PetSmart in Alexandria when President Obama came into office. I left work one day and received a phone call about the time I got home from a co-manager. Obama and his people showed up to our store and needed advice on things to buy for Bobama and my manager was freaking out. I'm normally the one to take high profiles around the store but there was no way I was driving back there. He walked around for the next 6 months telling everyone how he sold the President a dog crate.

I work with a woman who's brother is John Breannan, Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Adviser for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism.

I make fun of her b/c on Wickapedia they mention her as his "older sister"

Also, I teach and coach Carl Bank's daughter (from the Giants) and he's picked her up from games/practice every  now and then.

I also met Jamie Foxx back in 1999.  He was a total douche.  I was working the VIP bar where he and his crew were.  I asked him if I could get him anything, and he says "Yeah, you can get the F out of my face".  He is a peach.

Tom Brady and Gisele came to a charity event last year.  She is not as tall as you think, and way thinner in real life.

I smoked a joint with Dave Chapelle.

I have also met Jerry Springer, Beetle Juice from Howard Stern, LL Cool J, Dale Earnhart JR, lots of Real World/ Road Rules people, Dane Cook, most Boston sports players, Green Day, and many more.

You would be surprised who is nice and who isnt, and how much/little money they will do an appearance for.

I met a lot of interesting people working and going to Yale. The ones I can think of right now are most of the supreme court justices, Elena Kagan, Bill&Hilary, Mia Farrow, Sophia Coppola, Harrison Ford, Shia Labeouf, and Paul McCartney spoke at my graduation. Oh yeah, and I got to give John Grisham a tour of Yale because it was the setting of his book that came out in January 2009. He was fuucking dreamy. Southern charm and hot.

Of all places, working in Kansas City at a hotel by the airport, I met:

-Kevin Bacon... yes, I am now one degree of Kevin Bacon, bitchez. This was the best because EVERYONE from the desk was standing in the back, avoiding work, except for me and one of the girls who worked for me. So we chit-chatted with Kevin (because we're on first name basis obviously) and when he left we ran to the back, and everyone was pissed because we didn't "signal" them. WTF, do your job and you'd have met him, too!

I recently had to guide Matthew Morrison through a press line, and then mid-interview (on camera, no less) he stops and yells at me for being in his shot.

After the red sox won in 2007 my girlfriend was out at a bar and wore of of the player's rings around all night because he was into her (I won't say who because he was married and the whole thing was awkward). He tried to get her to come home with him but he was too drunk and his teammates put him in a cab. She was pretty drunk herself and woke up next morning with the ring still on. Can you believe, she actually gave it back. I seriously would have to think twice about that one

Strange but True story

When Dh had housing in NC but was stationed overseas ( and living with his then gf) Vanilla Ice came to NC for a concert.  His gf talked non-stop about how excited she was about the concert and how VI was on her "celebs to fuuck list". He asked her how the concert was and she was like "oh it was fine". Yeah, finds out through the grapevine that she and one of her gf's had a threesome with VI.
Turned out his gf slept with a lot of people while he was away though : /

yeah, this was back in late 90's early 2000's.  He did a comedy show at the place next to my bar. The bar and theatre were connected.  He got there early and asked the barback for some weed.  We smoked in the green room.  He is really funny.

Saschaduran is an awesome awesome knottie that lives in Vegas and has met 384783 famous people. She went home with some one juicy before she met her current H. But, I am not sure if it for me to rehash here. I mean, really juicy. She is wicked hot though, so I would expect nothing less.
