Engagement Party

Do you have to have an Engagement Party? I am the most shy person and can not fathom me being the center of attention. It will already be hard enough during the wedding to be the center. Any ideas?

No, you don't have to. If someone offers to throw you one, politely decline.

Absolutely not necessary. Also, it's not something you throw for yourself anyway, someone usually has to offer. If that happens, just thank them so much and decline. No worries!
