**LTZ**

How was dress shopping?  Piictures? Please be an AW immediately!

Re: **LTZ**

  • someone has wedding porn?  I like.  Almost as fun as talk of skin suits
  • Exactly, Anna.  You know how I feel about wedding porn and stalking pictures.
  • It was ok. I got through it (with all my nerves) and I realized how idiotic it was for me to be freaking out over it.

I don't have anything to AW, unfortunately. I tried on 5 or 6 dresses and though I didn't find THE dress, I have a really good idea of what to look for now. There were 2 dresses that I liked a lot, but I loved the top of one and the bottom of the other.

I'll be doing some more shopping over the next couple of weeks though, so as soon as I find something I will show it off!

Thanks for asking Nates.  : )
  • You need to find pics of the dresses you are into to atleast show us SOMETHING, gosh.
  • Yay! I'm so happy that you enjoyed it!  When we got to the first bridal salon, we started thumbing through dresses and I literally felt a wave of panic.  But as soon as I started putting them on, it was a ton of fun.

LMAO. Ok, ok Nebb. I will post the stock photos in a minute...
  • Can I confess soemthing? Part of me wants to pretend Im not married yet and go try on dresses again.
  • Just do it.  I'll probably still try on dresses after I pick mine because it was so much fun.  I might just go to Kleinfeld's for the experience, although it intimidates me a little.

This is hard to explain, but the first picture is the 1st dress I tried. I loved the way the bottom was but the top looked weird and not flattering at all.

So then I tried on one that had a top very similar to this picture, but this particular dress wasn't there so I want to try it on at a diferent store because it's the best combination of both things. Who knows though, I've had my eye on A LOT of Maggie Sottero dresses.

  • Very pretty!! I really like maggie sottero dresses.
  • I saw both!  They were on my list of dresses to try, but they were no good on me.  I agree, I think the neckline on the second one is so pretty.  I didn't like the side embellishment--actually, I think I didn't try it on at all because of that.  But the neckline is so elegant.
  • Nebb, I couldn't even have named any particular designer. I knew nothing and somehow I saw her name mentioned on the boards and looked at her site. I love so many of her dresses now.

Nates - I had no idea a sweetheart neckline would be flattering on me more than the others. I didn't think I'd like it but it ended up working out.
  • My dress has a sweetheart neckline. I didn't think I'd like it either. But it gives the right amount of cleavage, without being "Bamm! Boobs!"

Yes exactly. For some reason the tops that went straight across just weren't right. Also, I'm not into very bedazzled dresses with crystals and beading and lace so I think that the sweetheart neckline makes a more plain dress have a little bit of flair to it.

Exactly.. Mine has ruching on the bust, but other than that, it's super super simple and plain.

    Haha, mine too.
  • Ditto about sweatheart necklines.  So beautiful and flattering.  One of my dress choices has just a modified sweatheart.

And I say yes to ruching!  Hello, ruching, you are my friend.
