My niece just got home from school crying. She's a 4th grader. We have an appointment at my hair salon in an hour because her best friend and ALL the little girls who apparently matter have had those feathers put in thir hair and my niece was informed she couldn't be in "their club" anymore because it's "only for girls who are pretty and without a feather you're ugly."
Example:
What bullshiit! i normally encourage her to suck it up and tell her to blow off people being mean but this time it's really destroyed her. You should have seen the look on her face when I told her I'd take her to have it done. You would have thought I offered a starving person a hamburger.
Why do you think little girls are this way? Emulation of older siblings/mom/famous people? Because they're allowed to get away with being major jerks?
