Any other UFC fans?

Getting ready to submit my picks for the fight in a couple of weeks.  Just wondering if anyone else is getting excited for the fights?  My picks (for the main card) are in bold...agree or disagree?

Anderson Silva v. Chael Sonnen
Thiago Alves v. Jon Fitch
Clay Guida v. Rafael Dos Anjos
Matt Hughes v. Ricardo Almeida
Roy Nelson v. Junior Dos Santos

I'm not a big fan of UFC but my a couple of my future in-laws are MAJORLY into it, so I've been with them when they watch matches.  It's fun when you're in a bar full of other people watching them and everyone gets into it!  But I mostly just feel really bad for the guy who loses

I love watching the fights!  We always order them, to avoid going to bars.  Usually the bars are full of guys in Tapout shirts that think they need to act like hard asses.  A few other couples we are friends with, rotate with us.  4 couples, so we only have to pay for 1 out of every 4 fights.  Next fight is at our house...can't wait.

Brock Lesnar...BOOOOOOO.  I'm a big Share Carwin fan, so last fight I spent crying in my beer.  I will give it to Brock though...it was a great fight

When FI's sister got married her H's bachelor party was a UFC fight in Montreal. Talk about an awesome time. Now My FI is secretly hoping they'll do the same for his hahaha.

Dmiller, we do something similar! FI trains BJJ very seriously so usually we invite all the guys from his school over to chip in for the PPV.

My FI actually met on the old TUF forum (you know, the tv show) so UFC is kind of the start of our relationship! It's funny, I saw Marcus Davis at the mall the other day and although I'm not a fan, it was so cool. FI laughed at me since he has trained with Marcus before. Next month we are going to the Fan Expo in Boston and I cannot wait.


I agree with the picks except for Guida and Fitch.

My FI actually got me hooked, I hated watching until I met him.  I would love to go and watch a fight, but they are rarely in our area.  I think they have one in Indy coming up so maybe.

I don't expect Guida to really win either, but I have to pick him. I love to watch him fight, even when he fought sanchez and lost most of the blood in his body, I was still cheering for him.

I don't follow too closely - but FI and I will go to Hooters to watch the fights occasionally.  He likes the Ultimate Fighting shows.  He does not, however, own any of the UFC/Tapout gear.  He's not into it that much.

I am a Matt Hughes fan though, so I'd like if he won.

My FI is really into it, and I enjoy watching it...there's a local bar that shows the PPVs so we've gone there to watch it a couple times rather than ordering. Definitely looking forward to that fight in a couple weeks!

If we see Dana at the expo, we are inviting him to the wedding (just the gesture, of course). He's from a few towns over here in Maine and he's the reason we met. So why not? hahah
