Snarky Brides

"My Big Friggin' Wedding"

Has anyone watched this yet?

It's been called Jersey Shore meets Bridezillas. I think it's some good mindless entertainment.

Re: "My Big Friggin' Wedding"

  • I've seen previews and have caught a few endings, is it a series with the same people? Or do they do a new couple every week? I hate Jersey Shore but from what I've seen this show looks hilarious.
  • I watched a little of it.  It was too dramatic for me.  They kept showing clips of that bride screaming and shaking her finger in an older lady's face, and I didn't want to stick around to see what that was about.

  • How bad is .... I think Joey and Sandra? The guy is a TOTAL tool. I just finished watching the most recent episode and he made me sick.

I think they follow like five couples throughout the season, not one couple per episode, but I didn't watch it long enough to make sure.

  • It's the same 5 couples but they go through bits and pieces with them like they do with Teen mom, each week.
  • Johnny Meatballs?

I'm hanging my head right now.  You can't see it, because this is the interwebs.  But my head is HANGING.

I am friends with one of the couples on the show, who may or may not be the one you just mentioned.  ; )

ETA: Not that it matters, I just think it's funny watching them on TV and wanted to know if any of you had seen it.

Are they more or less dramatic then the show makes them seem?

IRL, less. Not to say that it's not "real" to a certain extent. But it's not as if the production company was going to show clips of them sprawled out on the couch watching TV, KWIM?
  • I haven't seen it, but I sort of blanket boycott at NJ reality shows except RHNJ, the mind can only handle so much NJ "reality" tv. I really don't understand why there's so many NJ reality shows, what's the fascination with NJ? And must some of these douchebags on these shows give us such a bad rep?

NJ is just the trend that sells at the moment. A  few years ago it was the glamorous life of Orange County California.

A couple of the couples on this show are from NY though.
  • I cannot wait to watch it. I guess I need to catch up!

[QUOTE]Oh, lord, another Jersey show.  Just saw a couple of episodes of Jerseylicious yesterday...I refuse to believe everyone in the state of NJ is as ridiculous as those girls are.

=) I live in NJ and am Italian and I do not know ANYONE this over the top dramatic and insane.

I do watch this show but its like a train wreck.  Its so awful that I cannot stop watching.  I cannot imagine treating anyone the way these people treat their families and one another.
  • I can't believe that one couple spent almost $1400 on invitations Surprised

    Anniversary
  • I saw the first episode of this -- the younger couple who already have the kid were REALLY obnoxious. I want to know how they have that big house and all their expensive stuff (nice car, designer clothes, etc.) What are their careers or are they partially still living off Mommy and Daddy? Or do they just have mountains of debt (probably lol). I predict a short marriage for them anyway because they really don't seem to like each other very much, which is super odd for soon-to-be-weds, they should be in that lovey-dovey stage of their relationship hahaha.
