I justed wanted to get some perspective on this. My FI and I are getting married in rural MI (the UP, if you're familiar with it) in an absolutely gorgous, old Lodge. We met with the event coordinator, who is very un-organized, over a year before we were planning on getting married. Last fall, they got a new general manager, who was even better than the old one and we were really excited about everything. We could now have plated dinner, hand-passed apps - a lot of things the old GM said they couldn't do. We asked about bar prices and they told us open bar was $8pp for the first hour and then $6pp for each hour after that. Sound great!
I just got an email from the event coordinator today saying that those prices are for liquor ONLY - beer and wine are an ADDITIONAL cost. WTF?! Even their literature on line makes it sound like everything is included.
Link. I'm so upset about this and it is the last thing I need two and a half weeks before the wedding. The only reason I even found this out was because she made a comment in one of her emails about liquor pricing. I'm so upset and stressed right now.
I want to send her an email back regarding this, but I'm not sure what to say. I have something written up, but I'm not sure about it. Honestly, this is one of the last things I need right now.
What are your thoughts on this? Am I over reacting? Am I justified in being upset?
