Cake for 200 People

Any ladies have a cake that fed 200 people? I have a friend doing a quote for me but I was a little surprised at how much hers was. I was going to go with her all along, so I haven't talked to other bakers. What was your cost? TIA

For 175 people my cake was $575 at Panini. At Romano's I was quoted around $700.

My cake feeds 192 at $3.50 per slice, plus delivery and decoration.

Willie mayes cake ( alma, & parker) in plano does there for about 2.50 a slice plus 40 for delivery

Depending on what you get (decor, icing, etc) will run between $700-$100. Where are you thinking on going?

My cake was $2.25 a slice... but anything from $2-$4 a slice is average for wedding cake

My cake (both grooms and brides) cost 1000.00 total. It was supposed to feed 300 but actually fed more because their cakes are rather large. We had tons of cake leftover too and I know several ppl had more than one piece because we had different flavored tiers. Brides cake was four tiers. Grooms cake was two with chocolate covered strawberries. My bakery was Society Bakery in Dallas. Awesome cakes!

She's a friend from college who went back to culinary school and is now a pastry chef. She's charging $4 a person it looks like and I'm just surprised that someone new to the business is charging that.

my cake is $4.50 per slice but I get a free grooms cake that feeds 50 people.

We are paying $575 for 100 people, including a grooms cake for 50.  It's $3.50 a slice with no delivery or set up costs.  There are less expensive cake vendors out there.
