Hey Bridesmaidzilla! Hope you had a great time on your honeymoon. Listen, I have a question. Did you get the toaster we brought to the wedding reception? I was just wondering because I never heard anything from you and you always hear these horror stories of random crashers or employees stealing gifts, lol. Let me know.

Missy, you'd be surprised.  SIL-zilla is super-good about TY notes.  Her insane shower with everyone she's ever met including cafeteria ladies at her elementary school?  Shower was on a Sunday, I received my TY in the mail on Tuesday.  And she sent one each time we brought them dinner after the babies came.

Well, for one, our wedding was Aug 29th, and we didn't get their gift until Easter (not really a big deal) but mostly because they made a HUGE deal about us not inviting their kids.  HUGE deal.  That, and his aunt is a raging biitch.  I think I might have sent them a "thanks for coming" card when the rest of my TYs went out.

I got a TY from H's cousin 6 months after their wedding. It was October 23 last year and we got the TY sometime after we sent out our STDs in March. They sent us an invitation (late) to their wedding, so I know they HAD our address at some point.

TYs with pictures are pretty much the norm up here.  You don't get your TY card for eeeeevvvvaaarrrrr.  I said "eff that" and just went with normal cards.  I was even crazy enough to write them on our HM.  We had a lot of time to spend on ferries, ok?

I am dropping in on this party very late, but we went to FIVE weddings in the past year, and from two of them, we received no thank you note.

I am so flexible on the thank you thing, for all I care it could be a Thank you e-mail, e-card, phone call, scribble on the back of a paper bag stuck in an envelope. Traditional etiquette be damned, I am personally open to ALL forms of thank yous. I mean, even at showers you get to do it up close and personal if it is a small enough shower (though etiquette demands you send a note via postal mail, I would forgive that easily).

Seriously though, NOTHING? NO thank you?! Wow. Just wow.
