is 30 mins too far of a drive from the ceremony site to the reception site?

Ours was about 20-25.. it was fine.  (It was the only way to get the church I grew up going to while still having a reception near a hotel.)

It may be helpful to include a directions card with your invites that has the phrase "Please allow 30 minutes for travel"   You may be surprised how easily guests can overlook these details if they aren't already familiar with both locations.
