I'm home from vacation.  I'm tanner, H has a sunglasses sunburn, and our new car is here!  Overall it was a delightful weekend.

Vacation was lovely.  It was the H family reunion at his parents house on the lake.  The night we were supposed to get there (Friday) there was a horrible deathy storm with softball sized hail that was breaking out windows, so we stayed with my parents who are a bit closer to us than his parents.  Once we got there Saturday morning, things were already in full swing.  There were 25 people in campers and tents around the house.  We had a bed, thank God.  We floated and boated and cooked and stayed a day late so H could chill with his parents.

My favorite thing was probably floating on stuff with H's mom and aunts.  there were many shenanigans, one involving me holding one aunt's head up as she almost fell of the tube really ungracefully.  

The car is a 2006 Buick Lucerne (the new Le Sabre).  We then sold my 1995 Buick Le Sabre to his sister for $750.00.  She is absolutely thrilled and has called me 9 times and counting to talk about the car.

Buicks are very nice cars. I had one as a rental once.

they run for 7000 years, so maybe I'll have this car for a decade like I had the last one.

Thanks, Bec!  I just read up on your trip.  It looked wonderful.  Although, I am a little shocked that Chloe didn't want to to go initially.

Oh trust me, we were shocked too! I think she was just shocked and asleep and not able to process it fully until a little later. Lesson learned! Chloe does not do well with surprises!
